@The Gamer i thought the same as you did at first. In Episode 4, Darth Vader says "when I left you" which does not necessarily mean "when I last saw you." Also, in A New Hope, Obi Wan seems to be completely resolute with Anakin being this hulking cyborg which would be weird if the last time he saw Anakin was on Mustafar. Obi Wan was also pretty sure that Anakin was going to die but in ANH he's well aware that he survived

I think animation suits the release style they’re going for way better than live action. You can recast expensive actors, build any set piece you want, and work under any style without risking cgi quality. Marvel’s What If wasn’t perfect, but I think it showed a lot of promise in the format.

"It was poorly written, poorly directed, and co-dependent on fan service that has no substance" basically describes 90% of Disney Marvel and Star Wars for the last few too many years. I love both franchises, but I absolutely hate that what the Mouse is doing to my boys. I could forgive some of the directing and lighting if the writing wasn't so freaking bad. It's like they went out of their way to walk straight into creating plot holes for the original Star Wars film while vastly overestimating their ability to walk their way out of them. The woke crap from Disney was bad enough. I absolutely despise "the Disney+ formula," and I really hate the quality of writers (more like the lack thereof) that they've been hiring for basically all of their new movies and shows these days. It's not that I'm not interested in the Marvel and Star Wars properties anymore. I fully intend to go back to the stuff I actually liked. I just really hate the way they're doing things, and Disney needs to clean house and get it in order before they butcher whatever brand loyalty they have left beyond repair.
