Okay this is kind of a general thing for me; but this annoys the heck out of me considering there are companies with significantly less funding who can make it thin neck lightsabers. But considering there's already an interchangeable emitter why can't they just make a thin neck that's all one piece with the blade and everything else?

the connection wouldn't be that great and also because these are sold all across the world in massive numbers they have to be pretty sturdy. the system they use now is pretty robust and keeps them out of a lot of returns from parents. Only issue i have is that the blades aren't interchangeable even though they look identical

Hey Mugg. That’s a really good point and a great question. I think the answer Hass to deal with the general public and making stronger products with less expensive components. Also making a product with a lower price point is also Moran demand for the general public I think. Pretty deep stuff, right😂

Both of you fair points, I'm just saying considering the amount of money this company has and resources, I'm sure they can think of something they can slightly more accurate saber. I mean there's plenty of Luke and Obi-Wan sleepers that are pretty sturdy so my phone though I wouldn't exactly go heavy dueling with them due to the shallow emitter.

I have a leia saber that has a thin neck emitter and although it's pretty sturdy, it's hella heavy, and the emitter itself is a fair bit longer to hold the blade better. It's not something you can easily swing around with one hand might I add. It may be un-aesthetically pleasing but it's practical having a wider neck in the long run. I'd love to show you but obvz can't upload a photo for you. I got it from UltraSabers if you were interested, they at least have pictures XD

Im genuinely so impressed by the LED work with the hasbro sabers. With each release the turn on and off for the blades became much more smoother and similar to the ones in the films. Now if only they could just stop with the swappable necks it will be perfect 😂

Got mine today. Love it! My first FX Elite (all my others are Galaxy’s Edge) but this is definitely my favorite saber. I love the weight. I really hope the Luke saber coming out next year has the same weight as this one. GE one is nice and another one of my favorites, but the weight definitely adds some premium feel.

Okay, so I couldn't help myself when I was at GE last month and bought the Obi-Wan bundle. I've been very happy with that one, but I did tell my wife where Obi-Wan is pretty much my favorite character, I'm buying the Hasbro one as well if I stumble on a good deal. It came back in stock at Target right before the 25% off promo ended. I have the Red card, and also used $75 in gift cards. Got it down to $125 and it will be here by the end of the week!

From what I'm seeing here it's more or less identical to the Black Series Force FX Elite Darth Vader lightsaber (I own that one too). I own 7 lightsabers & the Vader one is my favorite. Overall I feel its the best in terms of sound, movement sensitivity, clash effects, etc. So if this Obi-Wan saber is the same as the Vader saber I think it would be a good investment for me 😌 Thanks for posting these lightsaber review videos 🙂🙏

Really like your lightsaber reviews, yours was the first I watched when I preordered my BS FX Obi Wan Kenobi lightsaber. Your reviews cover all the features and it’s great that you compare Black Series against Galaxy’s Edge. I just got mine today and it works great, thanks again for showing how they should work. --Question-- where do you get a belt clip for this one ? The Obi-Wan lightsaber is actually the prop used for the fight scenes in Return of the Jedi. I thought that was a cool bit of trivia. There’s a KZbin video of Mark Hamill getting to see the original screen used Obi-Wan lightsaber prop and he talked about how they used it for the fight scenes.

I never really liked Luke's ROTJ saber. Something about Obi-Wans is just different enough that it's my favorite. Maybe the grenade grip, and the fact that there's some grip on the bottom. Plus, this one has all those awesome blade effects!

So I met the Body actor for Vader, and the actor for Paz Vizsla and both are stellar guys. I know a lot of actors will have you pay to just chat with them that was not the case for either of them. I spent about an hour just talking to the two of them it was awesome

My force fx elite Leia saber doesn't sound like that. Not by any means perfect but not nearly as bad for sure even compared to other various well done reviews such as this one the speakers seem different. I think maybe those particular speakers can be easily/were already partially damaged in either the assembly or shipping stage's of production. Makes me grateful for mine.

I'm not a fan of having to swap the emitters to use the lightsaber, but the display set up does look nice. If other companies make a version, I may pull the trigger, because I love the thin neck lightsabers. They're the ones I have the most of in neo pixel with proffie. BUT! If they release a Master Dooku Black Elite lightsaber, I'd probably buy it. That one handed style hilt has been my bane of neo pixel lovelyness.

My Leia was a hot mess. Clashing activated when swinging like yours. Phantom noises when it was off. Dark spots when activating blast deflect. Gorgeous hilt, which is ultimately what I bought it for. But the functionality was awful.

my darksaber had issues with it, the lava tip made the noise but didn't change the blade colours at all and the thread for the screw holding the blade in broke. Luckily I got another one and this one is fine.

I would be interested in this lightsaber, but tbh I think Hasbro chose the wrong sound effect for the ignition. It sounds a bit sinister that would be more appropriate for a dark side wielder’s lightsaber. I did send feedback to Hasbro to see if they can fix it, but their response doesn’t give me much confidence. If they update the electronics that changes the ignition sound like Anakin’s Episode III saber or Luke’s Episode VI saber, I would definitely get it. I know it’s a nitpick, but I want to make sure it’s worth investing.

Eh, still the same black series soundfont though x.x I miss back in the old removable blade force fx where they each had the matching different soundfonts, like Kenobi sounded just like his, same with the Vader and others. I only have the Kenobi and Vader from that line of force fx lightsabers though, never got the others x.x

Just subscribed to your channel as you helped me decide which Vader Saber to get and I decided on the Legacy Saber for 2 reasons. 1, Simply, the loose D ring (belt ring) would have drove me crazy as I have ADHD lol 2, Vader's belt hook lol I'm 35 and a father but I like to walk about the house with a lightsaber in my hand or on my belt lol and having the saber on the belt hook and walking about will make me feel even more powerful lol 🤣😂🤣😂 My dream sabers to own are 1, Qui Gon Jinns 2, Obi Wan Kenobi's ( episode 1) 3, Anakin Skywalker (episode 2) I already own both Anakin's (episode 3) and Luke's (episode 6) Master Replica lightsabers from the 2000’s and Luke's d ring is the same and drives me nuts. I told my wife which one I wanted, she said ok and today while I was out running errands I got a text message confirming my order. I was like yes happy days but I took a closer look at the message and it said the order was £270. I was like HUH....that can't be right the Vader lightsaber is only £135, So I checked it out and saw that my wife had gone and not only purchased Vader's lightsaber but also Luke's episode 4 lightsaber as well. She has granted me one for Christmas and the other for either Valentine's Day or our Wedding Anniversary. I'm so hyped man can't wait....just thought I'd share with you and the rest of the fandom lol and remember THE FORCE WILL BE WITH YOU... ALWAYS

I would like to see an upgraded line to these, call them Ultimate Force FX Elite where they use real neopixel technology and can fully embrace blade compatibly with the thin neck hilts and be made duel ready. I also feel like they should vibrate even if it’s subtle.

The neck of the saber is a little thinner than the galaxies edge, but still kinda thick. I don’t think they did the ignition sound correct. It’s not supposed to have that hiss sound that sith sabers have.

The one thing I've noticed with mine, which is a bit of an annoyance, is the activation switch is pretty loose - I'm constantly accidentally turning it off just waving it around. I also seem to get more clash sounds just waving it around.

It's a good saber if you are on a budget but if you want a proper awesome saber you're looking at spending £400+ on a saber that is neopixel and includes proffie! There are a lot of great sabersmiths out there so they're worth looking at if you want a good saber. Trust me!

Love your channel, especially the lightsaber reviews! Maybe you can help me out, or someone else in the comments can. Have you noticed the pitch and speed of the swing noise changes depending on how fast you swing the saber? I spent like half an hour testing this out, moving it slow, then fast. Tell me I'm not imagining this! And I wonder if this is a first, or if the other FX Elite sabers do this?

Have you ever heard of Darkwolf Sabers? If not then I will tell you. They are the main partners of LGT, who makes most Sabers sold by artsabers. Darkwolf has now released two really great designs: the Anakin episode 2 and the Maul Saber from Rebels.

Okay so I have both Vader Force Fx Elite and Kenobi Force Fx Elite sabers on standby at a local merch shop, really not sure which to go with, Kenobis saber is one of my favourite sabers in the saga in terms of looks but I mean how can you not have a Vader saber in your collection? I did watch the review you did of the Vader saber and yes there are faults but with it mainly being a display item and being swung around maybe once a month, this would be my second lightsaber in my collection after the Darksaber Force Fx Elite

@@MatchstickMan Yes! The force fx series were great under Master Replicas and some of the early Hasbro ones. But what the heck happened to them? They made the lightsabers SOOO quiet and raised the prices! It’s a lightsaber, it’s supposed to be loud! Legacy ones are much better.
