The Finale is here and it's a miserable end to what has been an utterly terrible show. Disney tried to gangle as many keys as possible but there are no pay offs because there was never any set ups in the first place.

By not killing Vader (you know, the most powerful military general of the empire) when he had a chance, Obi-wan literally allowed more billions of people to be genocided in the next 9 years. Lets look at this entire thing here. - Yoda tells Obi-wan to live in solitude and look after luke while also training to gain to commune with Qui-Gon. (P.S Qui-Gon gained immortality, but wasn't strong enough to survive a stab wound from a lightsaber lol) - Inquisitors are on Tatooine, literally threatens Owen and his family, and Obi-wan leaves Tatooine to save an abducted Leia. - 4 episodes later, Obi-wan hands over the communication device to a fake Jedi and his lightsaber, and the fake Jedi loses the device only for Reva to discover the truth about Luke. - Reva learns instant transmission after eating a senzu bean to heal the stab wound right through her chest, wrapped it up in a jumper and teleports to Tatooine, to raid the farm and kill luke out of vengeance against Vader (Vader doesn't even know he has children but let's skip that shall we) I mean surely she would understand why they are being protected because luke will face his father but again, let's skip that. - Reva captures luke, could have killed him and Obi-wan the failure was nowhere to be found. Conclusion: Obi-wan Kenobi is the whole reason why Luke was ever in danger... His one sole purpose in life to protect luke and he failed miserably - in fact became the reason why luke faced any danger at all. Remove this 6 part series, and order and sense return to the star wars world and story.

So....Reva brow beats Obi Wan, Obi Wan apparently had to run in fear, Obi Wan is too weak to even hold up a lightsaber with his first Vader encounter who burns him (but doesn't?) could kill him (but doesn't?), Vader is an absolute master over Reva who he keeps alive and she flees to Tatooine, Vader obliterates Obi Wan with rocks........wait for it.......Obi Wan comes back and obliterates Vader/Anakin with rocks....Obi Wan could kill Vader (but doesn't? seeing the inverted writting mirror effect yet?) leaves and goes to Tatooine to stop Reva (who he feared to begin with?), Reva could end the original trilogy, doesn't, is redeemed (after she took over this show by saving the original trilogy??)? and Obi Wan and Reva turn into monks? Peace? The end? They literally inverted the entire mess of a script for this show. For the love of plot Disney, pick a damn script. Any script, but a Disney script.

Wanda cried a lot, that’s why her grief is so tragic and all of her atrocities are justified (while Wanda herself still maintain her status quo as a “hero”). It's a funny thing. When Ahsoka first sensed Anakin/Vader in rebels, she had a vision of him asking why she abandoned him. Then we had the confrontation with him. She wanted to save him so whole-heartedly. Once she realized she couldn't, she resolved herself to stop him no matter what it cost her to save future jedi. She lived with decades of guilt after Order 66, especially since Clone Wars S7 showed she had the opportunity to stop it and potentially Anakin's fall. Obi-wan was in the SAME EXACT SITUATION, and he just walked away. TWICE.

I've been thinking the same thing. They'll make Leia insufferable, and Luke pathetic. Like in those animated shorts a few years back. They'll make sure Reva's there. Heck, maybe Dave Filoni will make sure Ahsoka is shoehorned in. After all, how can Luke get good with the Force unless a woman trains him? Leia and Reva and Ahsoka will be the real heroes. Luke will accomplish nothing. Anakin will fail to kill Palpatine who will mysteriously vanish into the unknown. Then they can point and say, "See? Our sequels, Disney+ shows, and spinoff films do fit with the original trilogy, so you can't criticize them anymore, you ists and phobes!" Nothing would surprise me at this point.

I think this episode proves that the Obi Wan should have been a movie instead of series if it was to be made at all . There should have been more focus on Obi protecting Luke as well instead of Reva and Leia. Yeah sure you could have a part where Vader is searching for Obi but make it so he never actually finds him. Also the the fight whilst entertaining when viewed in isolation it didn't really make narrative sense. I wanted this series to come down to a battle of the mind rather than sword . The fact Obi broke the promise he made to Yoda about protecting Luke and Reva got an unearned redemption by not killing him makes me sick really. As Miles Dyson says in T2 "I feel like i'm going to throw up".

The fight was trash. Don't get me wrong the force battle was cool but whatever great idea they came up with they totally butchered with the god awful cinematography. I just wanted to see them fight in all their glory and instead we get quick cuts and shaky cam, not to mention going back to Reva's search for Luke (Owen and Beru are the MVPs, they really love that kid)

Kenobi beat Vader easily. I was not afraid for Kenobi's life one second. Vader's lightsaber force push, was limp against Kenobi. Kenobi just laughed at him Once Vader got Hit with those 50 some odd boulders, it was a wrap. It made Darth Vader seem more sad and pathetic. Mission accomplished, I guess.

My expectations for Kenobi were low, but I'm almost impressed that Disney managed to screw up what should have been an absolute no brainer win. The Disney SW recipe seems to be "Write a dull show about dull original characters nobody cares about then slap a couple of fan favourite characters in the last episode so people freak out and forget how bad it was" and Kenobi has been no exception. Hayden did a good job with what he was given though, and it was nice to see him taking on the role again. I think my main takeaway from this series was that nobody in the Star Wars universe ever checks to make sure someone is dead.

The problem is that I think it does what a lot of shows have been doing recently: Generate a checklist of things that need to be achieved - particularily cool moments (which this show actually mostly stole from better Star Wars properties) - and then write a story around it that generelly barely holds up b/c it entirely relies on coincidences and deus ex machina. Game of Thrones did that, Solo did that too - that entire movie (although I personally like it despite these flaws) is a checklist. This show never needed Vader or Leia or Obi Wan doing badass stuff instead it needed Obi Wan to do smart things.

Jake Kenobi telling REEEEva she did good reminded me of Strange at the beginning of Wanda: Multiverse of Madness telling Wanda she made it right. They never explained how Reva knew Anakin and Vader were the same person. They never explained how Reva got to Tatooine when she was abandoned, left for dead with no ship, while Vader is chasing Obi-Wan. Did she call Uber of Lyft for a ride; she had Obi-Wans communicator? They didn't explain what happened to Reva at the end. They didn't explain why Reva wanted to kill Luke. Did Obi-Wan give her a ride somewhere else? I bet she's going to show up in the Andor show because there's no way she can carry her own show. This was without a doubt the worst of the series. The second fight of the century was almost as pathetic as the first. I had a feeling this episode was going to be bad but not this bad, they exceeded my expectations for being worse than the previous, at least they're consistent. Instead of getting mad, I'm beyond that with Disney Star Wars, I just laughed because it's nothing but a joke now. - I laughed again at Obi-Wan giving Leia to someone else to protect her. - I laughed at Kenobi in his ship being chased by Vader in the Devastator like OJ in his white Bronco or the Rebels by the First Order in TLJ. - I laughed at the Ring doorbell burglar alarm the Lars have on their farm that sounded when Reva arrived. Checkout the Ring doorbell commercials, they're hilarious or at least more so than this show. - I laughed at Obi-Wan having a Rey "coming to Jesus" moment with all the rock-lifting and throwing (oh yes, the Relos and blue pills were blowing multiple loads with these scenes). - I laughed when Obi-Wan's lightsaber couldn't cut through Vader's chest but had no problem cutting off half his helmet. I will have to say Rebels did this scene much better when it was Ahsoka and Vader fighting, you actually felt like you were watching a compelling story unfold and not random overhead shots and lightsaber flourishes with meaningless dialog. There are many more things to laugh about than to cheer for. Thankfully Luke didn't see Reva's lightsaber. Also, how did Reva's lightsaber get repaired? Didn't Vader cut it in half in the previous episode? They totally wasted several opportunities in six episodes to explain anything that's happened in the last ten years. The Emperor and Qui-Gon were only there for nostalgia, they too weren't needed in this episode in the capacity they were portrayed, I was expecting much more from them and everyone else but we were fed nostalgia nuggets and memberberries instead. The cinematography was awful as well. Enough of the cinéma vérité (shaky-cam) nonsense. The spaceship sequence was very amateurish and immediately distracted me instead of awing me. There's more to filming a Star Destroyer than just shooting it, you have to find the right angle. The profile shot and changing directions shots took away any symbol of power they had. I thought we were going to get some real Star Wars music for a second or two on Vader's bridge but we got teased instead with more of the same lackluster temp track placeholder music instead. We finally see Luke who's a pathetic shell. Auntie Beru definitely wears the pants in this family and not the quiet little mouse she was in the prequels or original trilogy. I thought for a second she was going start talking about contacting other Rebel cells or something when she started getting the guns out of hiding like one of these "end of the world preppers" hiding guns in the ground all over their property. There was no need to hide the guns, there was no ban on guns on Tatooine or most any other planet. Everyone has a gun of some sort like we do watches, cellphones, etc. I give it a 3/10 for this episode and series overall and that's being exceedingly generous. This entire series is an abomination, much worse than The Book of Boba Fett. They went with the first draft of the script and first take of each scene, there was no attempt to refine anything in this series.

Would have been neat if Obi-Wan had deliberately cut himself off from the force to avoid detection, getting wrecked by Vader in an early fight and then having to gradually re-acquaint himself with his Jedi traditions for the penultimate battle at the end of the season (If we had to have them meet at all). Also would have been great if Reva independently connected the dots about Luke and Leia, was genuinely redeemed in the end, but given the horrible stuff she did decided to sacrifice herself in some meaningful way knowing that only her death would keep the secret of Anakin's children safe. Just like all of Disney Wars, there are great threads. The only problem is they're sewn into a really shitty Christmas sweater.

Obi-Wan from the start should've been like the old Kung-Fu TV series in a way. Open with Obi-Wan walking the desert in a vision quest communing with Qui-Gon and instead of cutting himself off from the Force he learned to focus and pull his ability deep inside and mask himself. He kept an eye on Luke from afar and didn't draw attention to himself. He'd help people and use his lightsaber as a last result and when used he wasn't flashy drawing out a fight he moved in fast swift executions the way he handled Maul in Rebels. If the saber came out they were dead before they knew it happened and it would be put back and he'd get out of there. This whole series was just a way to break Obi-Wan like they did to Luke in TLJ. Obi-Wan should've been the lone samurai Yojimbo or blind swordsman instead we got a hobo

Star wars has always been a spiritual battle. It's about stopping the darkside from controlling people. He gave Anakin the strength to see the light which leads to him saving Luke in the future stopping Palpatine in defense and saving far more lives. Jedi are supposed to defend lives not take them. He literally lets Vader Kill him in the future because there is more to life than the physical and his body didn't matter, his spirit being intact does. Every choice has an effect. If mace wouldn't have tried to kill Palpatine Anakin would've came to his senses and none of this would of ever happened. Also he didn't really believe Anakin was gone you can obviously tell he still had hope for him.

Was horrible. I think after being a hardcore Star Wars fan my entire life(thousands spent on collectibles, games, everything, every movie and most shows watched multiple times…except for the sequels and some other shows), that I’m done. Kathleen is intentionally sabotaging Star Wars. I mean she even held back John Williams’ music from most of the series because “we wanted it not to feel so extremely cinematic and more like a TV Series.” It’s just awful and nostalgia bait. I do t feel happy or angry. Just kinda sad and disappointed as this was one of my few escapes and as someone disabled and in chronic pain, I love my escapes. However, it’s become stressful to watch and it just steps on all I loved. They even copied Rey rocks scene only this time with Obi-Wan. The use of cheap CGI was very obvious in the whole series and what’s up with Vader having a Halloween store thin cape? I can’t anymore. This is the nail in the coffin. Glad to see Disney averaging a 1% loss per day lately.

Oh my god! Thank you for bringing up the Obi-Wan and Maul fight. (Yes, when he fought more he was Obi-Wan not Ben. 😄) It brings me shivers remembering that scene again. What a contrast!!! It shows that it's not about whether it's live action or animated, but it's about good storytelling! The spoken words and the unspoken ones. The fact that they took the time and effort to animate the meaning of the moves of the lightsaber fight. Maul being stuck on vengeance uses the same moves as he did on Qui-Gon and Kenobi defeating him in such a way, lends itself to the storytellings of the original samurai films. What Lucas envisioned in the first place.

I loved the live-action recreation of the Vader shot in Rebels where his mask is broken (Twilight of the Apprentice). it was a great moment in Chapter 6 and everything I hoped it would be - that visual was basically number one on my list of things I wanted to see in the show, ever since it was announced Hayden was returning. that great moment didn’t redeem the show, though. the show was complete garbage, the writing was abysmal and each episode made me feel like I wasted my time. yes, there were cool moments and tiny details that were awesome (and heavily appreciated by me), but those things did not validate the rest of the show nor make it any less of a slog to get through. the Qui-Gonn cameo was the BARE fucking MINIMUM - Disney had such an easy layup to end the show in a strong, exciting way, and they did nothing with it. wasted opportunities, shallow characters and careless writing, that’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi show in a nutshell. good grief what a disappointment. Disney is gonna fucking greenlight a second season, and they will make the exact same mistakes. search your feelings, you know it to be true.

One of the things taht was annoying, is taht it felt like the writers were trying to draw on the emotions of the audience that had been cultivated from the other movies, but the problem was that they spent the whole show shitting on the other movies so whenever there was a moment that should have been emotional it just made me pissed off. Also, did you notice that they used way more star wars music in this episode? Do you reckon someone got a bollocking for the music in the other episodes? It was to the point that it was jarring to hear star wars music in star wars cus none of the other episodes really took advantage of star wars music at all.

AZ, they did say how Reva knew. Leia was Bail's "daughter" and she knew Bail was friends with Obi-wan because she CHECKED THE JEDI ARCHIVES (which breaks canon since Palpatine gave NOBODY access to them, including the Grand Inquisitor who only turned because he wanted access to them.)

Twilight of the Apprentice is the name of the Rebels episode they ripped off, and it's one of the best episodes of animated Star Wars ever. Shame on Kenobi's writers for stealing that scene and think they could get away with it. Disney plagiarizes itself now, because that's all they can do at this point.

The dialogue between Vader and Asoka alone made that episode, but the complete domination of Vader was the icing. The "I am no Jedi" and "Then you will die" lines still stick even though it's been forever. In a different reality there could have been a confrontation between Vader and Obi Wan that would have had Obi Wan utterly dominating Vader due to him being not used to his artificial limbs in addition to mentally hammering in how Vader had destroyed everyone and everything he loved and cared about. Vader in turn could fight back, telling Obi Wan how they had the power to save his mother; all those years wasted with the Jedi while his mother suffered and languished away. How he gave everything to the Jedi order and all he was ever met with was distrust and secrets. That the only thing he has left is his hatred. That even if he loses his duel with Obi Wan his hatred would be so much that he wouldn't care if he would have to cheat to win, shooting him with artillery or Stormtroopers to come in to try and blast him away.

Kenobi Series Review... "A Lost Hope" Spoilers.... So many plot holes, canon bending/borderline breaking, terrible writing, terrible acting, unnecessary characters, bad editing, bad cgi in some cases, “dropped plot” for convenience purposes.. this show it a big wet fart. 2/10 for the series. And we will never get good StarWars because a good chunk of the fandom think this is awesome. Sad. A FEW examples... Senator Organa sends a message.. (so dumb) talking about Vaders kids, "i'll head to Tatoine, Owen will need help with the boy"...ONE: Why would he send a message to Kenobi (fearing his silence means he may have been captured or killed) why send the message to that device where someone else could listen to it? TWO: Senator Organa doesn't even fn show up to the planet to help Owen and Luke. So the writers wrote that dribble, to advance the plot in the direction they wanted, To have Reva Know of Luke, and didn't even bother to have Organa show up on the planet. So he "conveniently" left a road map to Reva to follow and didnt even bother to go to the planet himself.... That's called bad writing. Plot Hole baby... Bad acting, Reva's character was acted poorly. Is it the actress, the writing, the director who had her say the lines the way she did? i dunno. but her character was pretty shit. The de-aging of Anikin was garbage. Some of the ships looked wonkie. How Does Reva placing a tracker on a droid, make its eyes glow red? Obviously for a visual cinematic effect. BUT, how is placing a tracker make the droid go haywire and disable the Base. She didn't reprogram the droid. So, can trackers on droids make them "evil" and simply taking them off makes them "good" again? And how the ever fuxk, Did Leia get the droid back? Reva had it...did she place the tracker on the droid then nicely gave it back to Leia right before she was to be tortured? Why place a tracker on a Droid, when in a fortress, Reva could have extracted the info she needed. Sounds like plot convenience to me. The Emperor: "Perhaps your feelings for your old master, have left you weakened. If your past can not be overcome.." Vader: "Kenobi means nothing, i only serve you." So let me get this straight....for TEN YEARS, Vader's little side project of finding Kenobi has consumed him, YET, The Emperor feels NOW is the time for him to just Drop it and let him go. When Kenobi is so close and the chances of finding him is at its greatest... Wtf. If the writers were cleaver, Kenobi should have Let Vader Defeat him. Ben should have stayed buried in the rubble, got out, and went to Luke. Vader now thinks he won, would no longer be looking for him. (He could now live as hermit, Everyone thinks he's dead, and he could protect Luke. No more Vader, no more inquisitors, no Troopers looking for him because Vader thinks he's dead!) Yet Kenobi attacks Vader yet again. "There are other ways to fight" .... What happened to that? Tricking Vader to think he was dead, to later protect, train, mentor the guy who would eventually Defeat Vader and bring balance to the Force. Luke Skywalker. And that's just a FEW things wrong with the series.... This series is garbage... Thanks Disney.

One of the main reasons you didn’t feel anything about this duel that broke Star Wars cannon twice over was that the background score music was horrible. If you watch Asoka vs Darth Vader duel you feel the fight between them though the score music which is essential to provoke emotional impact. I 💯% agree that this duel was a rip off and cartoonishly video game type fight between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi. In my head I heard Mortal Kombat voice-over saying “Finish Him” when Kenobi could have landed the killing blow ending Darth Vader’s reign of terror and revenge for all the Jedi he killed in the Jedi Temple.

It was clearly established, that shuttles can go lightspeed, because it happened in the movie Spaceballs. That Winnebago of Lone star's, could easily outpace The Empire....all you have to do, is attach wings to one. Also, Disney understands that space isn't a vacuum..... It's an echo chamber, and everyone can hear you scream.
