Ahsoka Finale: Garbage, Horrific Fan Fic Written for Clapping Seals!

My expectations were exceedingly low but somehow Ahsoka's finale managed to go well below those. Horrifically written, terribly acted, nonsensical garbage. I really have no idea who this slop is made to be for other than brain dead clapping seals at the jangling keys!

Sadly having been a teacher since 1982 (from industry) who started out as a Maths Teacher but then became an IT Teacher followed by a Microsoft Trainer who very much promoted IT, I really regret doing so. A recent event in a store where I bought an item for £1 and it was marked 10% off. On giving a £1 coin to a young cashier, he proceeded to take out his mobile to calculate how much 10% would be, I told him it was 90p but he told me, he would have to call his manager over to check I was correct. The manager about five years older on him, he too took out his mobile and did the calculation and confirmed i was right. Both I could tell had not the slightest concept or any embarrassment they could not work out what 10% of £1 was. So yes I totally agree with your comment, that we now have TV programmes written for such humans that to all intensive purposes are on par with thinking skills of a 'bot', At 70, I am grateful my years won't be long but I apologize for helping to bring about the decline in humanity.@@shadf7902

What's really wild is that when you look back at the series you start to realize that the "heroes" of the story actually have nearly zero effect on the outcome. You could literally not have them around at all and the only difference would have been that Ezra would still be stuck. They didn't stop the bad guys from getting the map, they didn't stop them from using the map, they didn't stop them from traveling to the new galaxy, they didn't stop the Chimera from finishing it's preparations to leave and they didn't stop Thrawn from making it back entirely without them. The New Republic would actually have been in a better place, and 2 pilots would still be alive, if Ahsoka, Sabine and Hera hadn't tried and failed so spectacularly.

My problem is that first off force sensivivity is having a celing for everyone. For example Mace Windu was the greatest duelist but Master Yodas force sensitivity was greater then his. Booth had great abilities and trained since childhood. Yet what each master could archieve was diffrent. Anakin as the chosen one was that big of a deal because he was basicly the force incarnate, but evrn after training for years he still hasn't reached his full potential before he was mutelated. Sabine never had years of just force training, And the little she had coupled with basicly no force sensitivity in the first place aka a low celing would mean shed either need many years to slowly build it up. Only that we saw,she has zero talent for it. Or she straight up wasnt fit for this. To just let someone belive hard enough shits on all previius masters whos life was the force. And it ruins the legendary Sith and Jedi who were stronger or better in their use of the force.

So the Tie-fighter is either the most accurate and deadly fighter in the galaxy, and they ONLY shot the stabilizers on the ship on purpose. I am female, in 1977 I saw SW in the theater when I was 6 years old, been a fan ever since, and hate this show! Thrawn is the single stupidest villain I've ever seen and by the end, I wish he had just shot Sabine in the head! It's like he was screwing up on purpose over and over. 1) He couldn't locate Ezra in 10 years? 2) If he had kept Sabine as a hostage, he could have just flown off (and BTW - why didn't he just fly UP and where did all his mines go?!) 3) His Troopers were incompetent - dozens couldn't even wound them the whole show, and the zombie Troopers were so uncoordinated I thought they would start shooting each other - how are they a bigger threat at all? 4) Why didn't Thrawn lock the doors, or better yet, destroy the tower before Ahsoka got there?! He didn't have bombs to destroy the stairs? That tower was huge! I'm not even going to go into the football length jump Ezra did and all the ridiculous inconsistencies, plot holes, lame dialog and wasted opportunities.This finale and the whole show is mind-numbingly stupid and worse than that it was boring. The female characters in this show are an embarrassment! They are boring, entitled, irresponsible, undeserving, arrogant and shrouded in plot armor. I watched the Clone Wars and Ahsoka was not like that. She was feisty and flawed and brave, not a plank of wood. I'm sick to death of these "strong female characters." They are doing us no favors! The writing in this episode is profoundly awful. But I will always give credit where it’s due and there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation to your query. (No sarcasm there really is) The night sisters only picked up Ahsokas ‘force signature’ the instant Ahsoka tapped into the force to communicate with Sabine down on the planet. So with that establishing fact, it stands to reason that Ezra has simply cut himself off from the force for a decade (similar to Obi-wan) which is why the night sisters never sensed him on the planet all this time, nor on Thrawns destroyer. You may think that’s a shit answer but it is the answer.

It annoyed me that they didn't just dismember the zombie stormtroopers so they were no longer a threat. Ezra even beheads one offscreen. Everything was so contrived and dumb. I absolutely hated Filoni's 'contributions' to star wars ever since the Clone Wars aired. Then all of star wars has just become the filoni verse; where all his fanfiction characters are the most important ever and connected to everything. Not to mention they have impenetrable plot armour.

I remember an old "Dragon Magazine" article, those who played old school Dungeons & Dragons tabletop will know, about "How a Dungeon Master can make a QUALITY main villain". And they used THRAWN as the example of a top tier, threatening main boss! (In fact, it was actually the FIRST time I had ever even HEARD of Thrawn! And he sounded so cool, it inspired me to buy & read the Heir to the Empire books.) And it gave example, after example of gaming and storytelling aspects of Thrawn that made him such an awesome BBEG! About Talzin’s sword, I didn’t know that was specific to her. I just thought that was something exceptionally powerful Nightsisters could do to fend off Jedi or other such lightsaber-wielders.
