Vader went full Force Unleashed on that ship. Also fun fact about the sith. The properties of the dark side allow a person to survive certain injuries depending on how strong their hatred and anger is. It's how Maul survives being cut in half. It's how Vader survived becoming a half dead toasty carcass. He can even survive without his suits breathing device for a while. But because of the nature of his injuries the dark side won't keep him alive indefinitely. He would eventually drop dead if he can't get his suit back online or get to a bacta tank. There was also an ancient sith lord that was a walking corpse but his hatred refused to let him die. And the Grand Inquisitor had enough hatred to survive being stabbed in the stomach. The same probably applies to Reva here. Though how she survived as a youngling is something I'll never understand

Just learned, Haden is wearing the vader suit and gis voice is being modulated. (James Earl Jones did not voice Vader in Kenobi) Reya survived the same way the Grand inquisitor and Maul Survived their fatal wounds. Hatred, rage, a desire for vengeance. Qui Gon who had been learning to come back after death excepted his fate and let go. Just like both Yoda, Obi wan, Anakin, and Luke will do later on. It's the only way to comeback as a force ghost.

Obi-Wan and Anakin’s moments are great, but yeah Reva’s writing…not so much. Her surviving two different stab wounds for example; but it’s not the end of the world. The way I look at it, we can meme it and move on like we’ve all done with the prequel’s weak moments and dialogue.

The Grand Inquistor's specie has 2 stomachs. This was the only chance Reva was going to be actually alone with Vader. Her thinking she could fight him was crazy. Her judgement was off because of all the hate. But she really should have worked with Obi-Wan. And she was right to wonder if Obi-- Wan actually wanted Vader dead. I don't think at that point Obi-wan could have said yes.

Vader completely made Reva look like a dumbass. Which was made even worse on her end by trying to attack him when he was already in a pissed off mood when they set up him when he was on the verge of catching them. The icing on the cake was the Grand Inquisitor coming in roasting Reva was extra awesome. I really dislike her character so much. She wanna be like Anakin so bad but will never do half of the cool stuff that he did, Jedi or not. With that being said, I do give her some credit for even trying to fight Vader even though we all knew it was for naught. If you also noticed, Vader was using form 2 moves during the fight. It seems like he was dancing. Dooku did taught Vader a few things over the years. From fighting with one hand to balancing footwork. That's the beauty of form 2 lightsaber combat that I respect so much. I also loved the Grand Inquisitor's quote: "Revenge does wonders for the will to live, don't you think?" And... I do love the flashbacks of Episode 2 Obi-Wan and Anakin but I do wondered why they didn't use some de-aging in Anakin's face like they did with Luke.

To be honest, I'm fine with the backstory for the third sister but I don't like how they handled it. They want you to believe she became Inquisitor and tries to capture Obi-Wan just to get closer to Vader and get her revenge. And all this time and work leads to this stupid sloppy attempt to murder him? This is where I get some of the criticism. Also getting stabbed by a lightsaber doesn't mean anything in this show which is unfortunate.

I think they intentionally lined up the POV shots to suggest that Vader stabbed her where she was injured as a kid. So it's possible whatever treatment she got to survive back then made this new wound in the same place less fatal. Not to mention that we've seen a lot of medical tech in SW saving people from serious wounds, such as with bacta sprays and such. Fennec Shand had to have stayed alive for a long time before the mod parlor could cyber her entire gut up, for instance.

The reason they had the warning was that a couple of days before it aired there was a school shooting. Third Sister talks about hiding among her dead classmates, which is what some of the kids at the school did.

The Grand Inquisitor mentions that revenge is a powerful motivator; similar to Maul, the Dark Side and general desire for revenge seem to provide unnatural life, even in mortal injuries. I actually do like Reva's story, although I think they just don't give her character enough time to breathe. For example, it would have been interesting to see her piece together based on her research (which we know she did to find the connection to Bail) that Owen Lars has a connection to Shmi Lars - nee Skywalker. No need for a super obvious/convenient message by somebody who should be way more well versed in subterfuge. I think she does potentially have motivations for getting to Luke, either out of leverage, revenge, to hurt Anakin, to hurt Obi-Wan, etc. I loved the flashback so much. Vader pulling the ship is awesome, but I was never totally convinced by the way the ship gets away without him doing anything - I think it might have made more sense if the ship took off while he was distracted with the other one, or at least there had been some indication that this move fatigued him (which would also explain why he doesn't use it in all the other places he might want to stop a ship from getting away - Rogue One, Empire Strikes Back, etc). Just a lot of little things like that that take me out of the show and make me wish they'd spent more time on the script/working out character motivations. But I do like how the tied it into the flashbacks.

Yeah, I was hoping for something epic Rebels tier, but this ended up more just popcorn tier. But that's okay. I do suspect the flash where Anakin stabs Reva's child self was more metaphorical than anything else - perhaps in that moment she is reliving her childhood trauma and that is how she sees both herself and Vader. I don't think she was literally impaled as a child - I think she hid and then escaped to the sewers (implied in part 2).

I wasn’t a big fan of the Reva story line, but I now get it, and it doesn’t repulse me as much as it did initially. We know that an ability of the dark side is to survive otherwise-unsurvivable injuries by feeding off of feelings of hatred and revenge (just like the Grand Inquisitor said: "Revenge does wonders for the will to live"). This is how characters like the Grand Inquisitor, Darth Maul, and Anakin/Vader survived being stabbed, cut in half, or having their limbs cut off and being burned alive. This is how Reva survived being stabbed in this episode as well as when she was stabbed as a youngling. As a youngling she presumably was terrified, and that fear turned to anger with being betrayed and with having all her friends be killed, and that anger turned to hatred for Anakin, and so without fully realizing it she started using the dark side and was able to survive her injuries. Ever since then she became an inquisitor and has been trying to move up in the ranks to be able to be closer to Vader to finally take her revenge and kill him. Obviously she didn't do a good job of actually trying to kill Vader, but she was trying to do it while Vader was focused on Kenobi (like she and Kenobi had talked about her doing), and she felt her window of opportunity closing so she took her shot. Also my guess is that she decided to go after Luke next because she was angry with Obi Wan for convincing her to try to take out Vader then instead of waiting and so she's looking for someone to blame for why she failed. She realized that Owen's boy was important to Obi Wan and thought this would hurt him since she wasn't able to hurt Vader. I don't think she actually realized that Luke was Vader's son, just that he was important to Obi Wan, but I could be wrong on that. Regardless we know that she is arrogant and reckless, and probably not thinking that straight from all her pain, and so I think her actions make sense for her.

One thing I really hate about the Star Wars community today is that they have no patiance. Every time a character is newly introduced or comes back there is alwais complaning about it "breaking the story" or not having sense, while we just need to wait for further content. Is it really that important to know how Reva got away from order 66, ringht now, on every minuscle detail, in a show about Obi-Wan? No, it isn't even needed in this storyline. When she'll gets her own show, (Assuming we even get it with all the random hate the character and actress recived) then there will be a proper explaination. We didn't know how Vader get to be in episodes 4-6, we had to wait years to get a proper full flashed out backstory. And don't come telling me that there was no reason to add the character to the show, becouse that is a very good way to make new content, just show a character that exists and then expand on it later, like with Fennec in Mandalorian wich was just another daily antagonist and then became a badass character. I agree that there could have been better characters to take from legends to fullfill Reva's role, but does it matter that much?

When one gets stabbed/cut in half, many who reappear have used and harnessed the dark side, as the grand inquisitor said "Revenge does wonders for the will to live". It's harnessing the hatred for a person who would've (and wanted to) killed you or left you for dead; that fuels your rage and anger. It isn't sloppy writing, its a reasonable emotion. If someone does you wrong, you want revenge, but that is also the path to the dark side of the force. So do you live and let die, or do you feed into your own emotions?

Hey, commenting again....in the orig-trig Yoda says something to the effect that if you turn to the darkside, forever will it cloud your vision. And c'mon, look at Anikan/Vader in episode 3- on Mustifar his opinions become 1 way, instead of using judgment. "Reva should just focus on killing Vader" doesn't mean she isn't focused on killing Vader- her turning to the darkside means she'll use whatever means to get to her end, but also using her power to gain more power. All 6 movies are a duel between obi and anakin. When vader kills obi wan in a new hope, thats obi losing his weapon in the flashback fight. Luke is the secret move vader doesn't see coming

I'm 99.9% sure that other ship was cloaked. We couldn't see it at all, and then it was in the next shot out of nowhere. Cloaking is the only thing that makes it make sense. As for surviving stab wounds... Dark Side. The Dark Side allows its users to channel their anger in a way that keeps them alive if injured. We saw this with Maul, Palpatine, Vader, The Grand Inquisitor, and Reva, not to mention the countless Sith in Star Wars Legends who survived things that should've killed them.

Obi Wan sticking to the Jedi tradition put Anakin in a vulnerable position that Sidious exploited. the council blinded by their own righteousness failed the Chosen One completely. So Obi-Wan shares responsibility far beyond being absent fighting Grievous.

Hate what they did in this show, downgrading light sabers, when Obi Wan went against the storm troopers his saber did not cut them, is their armor made of besckar? qui gon jinn got run through by maul and did not make it, but the inquisitor, survives , a youngling survives to get run through a second time and survives again. They don’t make light sabers like they use to.

The explanation of how Reva knew Anakin was Vader has holes in it. Okay so she saw Anakin attack in the temple, OKAY fine, but he got wrecked AFTER and she hadn't seen the suit yet. So later when she see's Vader, how would she know Anakin is in it? Nobody calls him Anakin and his voice is different...

She would have assumed it that anakin was Vader. She witnessed him turn to the dark side & as there were no other sith lords she would logically think anakin was the one in the suit.

Ok : I absolutely FREAKED seeing that Vader fight! Star Wars was my whole childhood, so seeing Vader with modern filmmaking just being a boss is one of the best Star Wars moments of all time IMO! Also those flashbacks with Ani and Obi Wan are sooo good! Great reaction dude!

Reva’s motivation makes no sense

Obi-Wans plan was actually great. The force can warn a jedi or sith if someone is attacking you from behind but it doesn't work if you are distracted. With Vader being focused only on Obi-Wan, Reva should be able to attack him. The only reason why this didn't work was because of the grand inquisitor. As shown in this episode (and every Rebels viewer already knew), the grand inquisitor survived, contacted Vader and told him everything. From this moment on, Vader had to expect a betrayal from Reva and was being extra careful when she was around. And obviously, in a fair fight, she wouldn't stand a chance against Vader, no inquisitor comes even close to his power. However, this part with the grand inquisitor is another example why everyone who has the chance should watch Star Wars in chronological order, not in release order.
