It's LITERALLY exactly what Filoni did in early Clone Wars. He and George *knew* that people would hate her just because she was new and different, so they made her flawed and had her falter a bit and overcome them. And you know what? He pulled it off better here than the first time. Filoni knows Star Wars like the back of his hand, and that includes the fanbase. He knew there would be people that no matter how much like S3-7 Ahsoka he put on screen, people would gripe. Here, he intentionally goes hard at it, then with a wave of the hand and a flourish, the veil is lifted and we see WHY, and once again we see her overcome and he cherry-tops it with some of the most emotional, gut wrenching encounter and then brought friggin Hayden back to seal the deal. Screw the haters, in Filoni we trust! lol

It was like nothing before it or since, people lined up around the block, people coming out of the theater and turning right around and buying another ticket, people showing up in costumes and characters, playing in theaters for over a year. The adds at the one year anniversary , showed Princess Leia , holding a birthday cake, saying Happy 1 year anniversary. Now, 46 years later the franchise is bigger than ever. Clone Wars flashbacks, live action Rex, Anikan/Vader flashing between each other, Ahsoka and Anikan interactions after ROTJ...overall one of the best things to come out of Star Wars and the best Star Wars live action show. 10/10 🥲😊🤯 Also Ahsoka has became "Ahsoka the White", like how she was originally at the end of Rebels. She was "Ahsoka the Grey" up until this episode, but now she is reborn. Just like what happened with Gandalf, I love that they took inspiration from it.

Absolutely phenomenal episode. There's just SO MUCH to unpack from this episode to the littlest details that I feel will take too long to talk about. While the last 4 episodes were good in their own way for providing that "Rebels Season 5" feel, this episode cemented the fact that this series is ALSO a series centralizing Ahsoka's growth. You can see that in the past 4 episodes, she was still chained by her past, guilt, and fears ever since she saw Anakin as Vader, while also fearing walking down the same path as Anakin when taking up an apprentice/padawan. It was thanks to Anakin's final lesson where she was able to accept that Anakin was more than just Vader and was able to accept her past in order to continue living her life (Sabine had questioned before if Ahsoka was really living). After waking up, you can tell that her expressions and mannerisms were much more positive, that she's no longer chained by her guilt. She basically had her own journey to becoming "Ahsoka the White". I'm honestly looking forward to how Filoni will direct the final 3 episodes.

Something I picked up about anakin in the world between worlds, he was a force ghost. There were times you could actually see through him partially. So in legends, force ghosts could access all history. Past, present, and future. I had a theory that the world between Worlds was a place force users could go when they die/are dying. In a recent canon novel, it was explained that obi wan met with a dying anakin to teach him how to become a force ghost and what not. The world between worlds would have been a great place for his last lesson, just like ahsoka.

Cinematography was gorgeous, few of the shots felt like they could have been lifted straight from Clone Wars season 7 or Rebels. And the score felt like a good mix between John Williams and the music from Hayao Miyazaki movies, which is appropriate because Ahsoka was inspired by the character San from Miyazaki’s “Princess Mononoke”

How people have forgotten that when Ahsoka was discovered to be a Jedi, she was a toddler that used her abilities to communicate with a tiger-like animal in Tales of the Jedi. If entry to the WBW can only be done at Jedi temples, then when Ahsoka and Ezra saw Kanan on top of the fuel storage tank.... She was somehow pulled (by something with the Force...and maybe it had something to do with her Mortis connection) or fell into the WBW. Her return to the ocean was when she was lowered back into it. Hands down some of the best SW content ever, in line with other epic moments in the films, live action series, and animated series.

This episode was some of the greatest Star Wars ever created. The character work that Filoni did here with Ahsoka is absolutely fantastic. Amidst all of it, my favorite aspect of it probably has to be the visual symbolism of her growth. Ahsoka going into the water as Ahsoka the Grey and coming out from the water as Ahsoka the White very much so felt like a baptism of sorts. As if the old her went under, and she’s come out born again as someone new. Absolutely loved every aspect of this episode. I’ve seen some people say that “people are being blinded by fan service” and to that I counter that yes, people are blinded by fan service but not in the typical way you’d think. The people who are ACTUALLY blinded by the fan service are those who are letting the fan service in this episode blind them from seeing the true beauty of what this episode actually was. There’s absolutely some fan service moments and callbacks in here, but it basically is just in the background and being in service of the main character’s relationship and development
@theaces3697 Жыл бұрын
i dont think i'd count this as "fan service" it isnt just thrown in for fans to go "oh look i remember that cool" no it is used as context, as background for what Ahsoka has been through and also helps inform those people who have never seen Clone Wars what Ahsokas relationship with Anakin was like, what they did together and what made her like she is today,

I loved how this episode showed more of the fact that Ahsoka was sadly both a Jedi AND a child soldier. What’s more is that while while the Jedi were taught to not form attachments to people, she and her master clearly broke that rule and cared for not just their men but their friends and family. The difference is that while Anakin failed and fell to the Dark Side because he couldn’t let go of those he loved, Ahsoka succeeded and learned to let go and move on. After seeing Ahsoka having a moment of catharsis with her master, and letting go of her guilt and pain to more fully embrace the Light Side, Rosario Dawson now truly has become the Ahsoka we remember from Clone Wars! She has now truly risen and has now become tied with Luke Skywalker for me as the greatest Jedi of all time. Look how happy she is... and how much bigger and brighter her smile is. This is also easily the best performance Hayden has ever given as Anakin, he actually felt more like Anakin from the Clone Wars than the movies. I honestly never thought I would see LIVE ACTION scenes of Clone Wars.

First in "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and in last weeks episode. Just seeing him and Rosario Dawson on screen together again was amazing. This time as two of my favorite "Star Wars" characters. Fun Fact #1: This is the second time Hayden and Rosario worked together. The first time was in the 2003 movie "Shattered Glass"(I VERY HIGHLY recommend that movie). Fun Fact #2: The actress who played Young Ahsoka is actress Ariana Greenblatt. She played Young Gamora in "Avengers: Infinity War". The "Clone Wars" scenes were amazing. Loved seeing Hayden as Anakin in his Clone Wars armor. And the way Hayden could go from Vader back to Anakin was so smooth. Jacen was the MVP of this episode for being able to sense what was going on in the water. Which had a part in saving Ahsoka. And the visuals of the purrgils at the end of the episode was phenomenal. Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊

And I think Dave is possibly setting up Jacen to be her padawan cause he sensed her presence and her fight with anakin. Also with the fact that she was scared to train a padawan of her own just to be a soldier for another war🤔

I can’t imagine how this can get better than this episode was! There’s still three episodes left, and I hope this hasn’t peaked, but this is going to be a hard episode to top.

In this episode Anakin had the power to save the ones he loved from dying. He achieved the ultimate.

U summed it up perfectly episodes 1-3 was good star wars 8/10 nothing mindblowing but episodes 4-5 have hit those peaks 10/10. The momentum for the final 3 episodes is insane

This was an incredible episode, they did young Ahsoka and de-aging Hayden so well ! (Why was Hera able to sense a force echo though? 🤔….)

Perhaps her son made a little connection All life forms are connected to the force, depending on their connection, they can use it.

Likely Jacen projected it because he isn’t exactly trained not to do that.

He did pretty much the same thing as he did with Luke. Pushed him to the brink so he can truly make the choice.

it was so sick to see full potential darth vader if he had beat obi wan on mustafar and not been burnt

If shows like this were written for the characters instead of for the fans, we could've gotten a great conversation between Anakin and Ahsoka. But, just like Hera and her son, all we hear are lightsabers.

"I won't fight you [father]." "I heard that before" He is not a force ghost, he's not dead nor alive, not a manifestation of the Force. He can design at will the enviroment, can turn from light to dark at will and he is perfectly aware of himself and his former self. Anakin has become, well, long story short..... God. The last Celestial.

I’m so hyped to see what we get next, hopefully we get a cameo from old man Rex or maybe Yoda being the goofy goober he is and appearing for Sabine, hell maybe we see creatures from legend like the Space Weird since they’re on their way to the unknown region where they reside if I’m not mistaken

I JUST BUSTED BRO, HAYDEN THE GOAT... bro when they first land in Clone Wars flashbacks, the music playing is "burying the dead" from the last episode of Clone Wars pitched down :(

It was very good but if I’m being picky I’d have hoped we got an actual scene of her confronting anakin of what happened (whilst like crying and them both crying) and then him telling her why he changed due to him not thinking he could protect padme and stuff - as she gotta feel so sad and betrayed by him

I love this episode. Anakin and Ahsoka scenes were awesome. Little Ahsoka was so cute. I like the old pilot he was great.

Dude this episode showed how Vader would be if he never got into the suit. That boy would have been an absolute menace (worse than he already was) 😳
