The statement made in the video about this may seem ridiculous to you but in fact Chuck Berry, on more than one occasion, mentioned listening to and being influenced by (among others, to be sure) Hank Williams. The fact that you can’t necessarily HEAR that influence when you listen to Chuck Berry, doesn’t mean that it’s not there.

Stalin does not deserve to be remembered! Even though he defeated Nazi Germany in WWII, he was still considered a horrible man after a great famine he caused in 1930-1933. 5.7-8.7 million innocent people died because of that.

Look, these videos on KZbin about who died in particular years aren’t (and shouldn’t be) limited to people we like, remember fondly or approve of. They are remembering people who had an important impact on their societies and/or the world. Stalin was a mass-murdering monster, no doubt about it, but he had a HUGE impact on the entire planet - and that, obviously, includes us. Without him, no Cold War. Without that, no Korean War; no Vietnam War; no huge buildup of the military industrial complex (about which Eisenhower warned us). Get the picture ? The people we need to remember aren’t just the nice people. We need to remember the evil ones too - so that we can spot the evil ones of our own time when they make an appearance.
