When I grinded through this tank it felt like most people knew to just shoot the forehead, which is autopen for +90mm caliber guns (which basically every tank has). Made playing this tank quite horrible when you also don't have gun depression to hide the forehead.

Yeah turret of this tank is really bad, terrible at any hulldown position because of that. This tank is bad imo.

@@Ol_White_Fatalis on NA server, it is the 4th lowest requirement for tier 9 heavies with 2,923. On EU it is pretty much the same, 2,942. The only lower requirement tier 9 heavies are Type 4, M-6-Y, and M103 ( on both servers).

I religiously go to Skil for all my game info. I had decided to grind to the IS7. Skil said 257 has to be put up with til you get the IS7. For me the 257 has been a dream. I like it more then the Is7. 54% Wingrate 585 games and it is marked. It'd not a brawler for me. Other team players ignore it. They go for the big tanks. It has been consistently good with my play style.

IS-7 is much better, but results might be weaker since with IS-7 you mostly play TX games only and IMO playing TX is totally different than playing lower tiers.

When you sound treat your room, make sure you don't put absorbing materials all over and put in a diffuser or two. That way you will get the best of two worlds, removing the ugly sounds but keeping a nice natural room tone which absolutely will improve your recordings.

hey skill, just wanted to mention something about the Skill Index. I saw that you put smooth ride as the first skill to get in medium tanks, however this skill currently has no effect in game if your turning at all, its only effective during foward and backwards movement with no rotation. it also only gives a 4% bonus vs the 7.5% bonus that snapshot provides. and i would personally swap it for offroad driving or Clutch braking with improved impact as a second. Thank you

im not great player but if you encounter experienced players with this tank and if you dont hide all of your front side they pen you like crazy. they can pen you from top of the turret too

I was grinding for the is-7 tech tree & then the game gave me free xp for the tier 8 and I didn't even have to play it ! Was able to unlock this tank for 0xp after the tier 7 IS. Am I lucky or what? I feel like that had to have been a bug or something but I'll call it a blessing First game with it and knew this tank was great, been very fun

Beautiful tank, i got my first second mark in it without even realising it. Just avoid 150mm guns like the plague because they can do nasty things to you. wStay hull down against them and youll be fine

From my experience it’s pretty easy I agree, and easiest t10s to mark are the t-62a and IS-7 IMO. If I remember correctly from when I marked it the t62a’s reqs are like 3.4k

I did not like this one. Sold it the moment I grinded tier X. WR only 45% while T-10 at the same time 52%. So it didn't work for me...

I think this tank is overrated, it only baits new/bad players, but against people with good aim and knowledge on how armor works, the 257 armor isn't good at all. The front is easy to pen everywhere, depending on how you are facing it, and the turret is quite bad, easy to hit cuppolas and overmatch roof. T-10 turret is a lot better than this one. So, again, i don't think this tank is that good, i'd say average at best. It's fun to bait unexpirenced players to shoot at your side and that's it xD.

Nah nowhere near, a lot of t9 heavies are better than this. In fact, most of them are. This thing has a trash turret that everyone can overmatch and quite bad front armor if you know how to shoot at pike-nose depending on the angle, and the gun isn't anything special. This thing isn't even in the top 10 heavies at t9 xD. Average at best.
