During defense attorney Nicole Muller’s opening statement, she described to jurors how law enforcement failed to investigate any suspects, other than the defendant, including Anderson’s ex-girlfriend, Sadie Beacham. Prosecutors say Zachariah Anderson murdered his ex-girlfriend's new lover, Rosalio Gutierrez Jr. in May 2020.

I'm sorry. The evidence was overwhelming? What in God's good name is that evidence? DNA that may NOT be DNA. Cleaning wipes DURING COVID PANDEMIC NONETHELESS? Small trash bags? A cellmate who supposedly was told by Zach he admitted to the murder? Here is the overwhelming evidence AGAINST: A daughter who lies constantly with telling her school for 2 months that she was dying of leukemia. Expert DNA witness who said that the DNA is only assumed to be Mr. Gutierrez's and could even be Arby sauce. Witness who was not allowed to be questioned in front of the jury who told him that that same cellmate Marquan of Zach's told him that sometimes you need to lie in a court to get a reduced sentence. The same corrupt office who charged Kyle Rittenhouse, when AMPLE evidence proved he acted in self-defense and their own witness during that trial told scolded them for trying to get him to change his testimony to further their agenda., mouthed the words "Die, Die, Die" at the EXACT same time as the former cellmate, suggesting a rehearsed and possibly fabricated story. A judge who was on his last case before retirement, who seemed to let evidence that was pro-defense not to be heard (same judge in Rittenhouse trial). I could go on, but that is more than enough.

No disrespect, there should be limitations on age for Judges. Yes hes knowledgeable, its that the laws change all the time. Hes more stuck in the 80s, and 90s as far as his responses are. Yes people should be punished for their acts. I also don't think JURORS, should be allowed to choose someone's fate. I've seen cases where Jurors may be Racially bias, Sexist, or show favoritism to who they can relate with. They don't always go by the evidence. The laws need to be Changed on this. The attorney did a wonderful Job, even though her client was a stalker, for whatever reason. For the judge saying making a comment saying even his phone pinged in a whole different county before, , shows he's been biased, and discredited evidence. Im not sticking up for the stalker, I just feel thats very unethical! I still domt see any circumstantial evidence, that he did it. Why hasn't anyone looked at the Girlfriend? She seems to be alot of drama, and lied many of times when asked about certain texts, that were presented right to her face!

Her saying Rosa was cheating on Saddy, he was leaving her & she seemed to pretty much imply Saddy was more serious and their relationship wasn’t serious…..Zachariah did not care if it was serious or not it was another man replacing him! I'm shocked at the criticism of the defense attorney by some in the comments. She actually gave an excellent opening statement. In 30 minutes Nicole Muller exposed the state's case as a huge nothing burger. The cellmate snitch's testimony is worthless. The prosecution's timeline exonerates the defendant. No blood in the van, just a microdot of the victim's DNA which, if really there, is easily explained away. The victim left it there after entering the defendant's vehicle in retaliation for the defendant entering his. Buying Covid-19 supplies and work stuff at Walmart? So what? It means nothing except that the defendant purchased Covid-19 supplies and work stuff. So far, this case screams reasonable doubt. The defense lawyer gave such an outstanding opening statement that the prosecutor felt compelled to interrupt her. His dirty trick was too late. She had already dismantled his entire case.
