Skyrim is much better and the crime mechanics is way better and able to make money a bit faster in the beginning. Plus skyrim has a more immersive world and lvling up makes sense unlike the double layer bs from oblivion. Don't get me wrong I do like oblivion but skyrim is much better all around in game mechanics and more.

Like instead of the way everyone catches you for stealing and it's almost just as good to replay a save than keep running untill something kills the guards. And witnesses is ridiculous. Skyrim corrected that and gave the player a great story to live besides a few quest

You can obtain it at level 20, the chance increases substantially at 25-30. But now and again you can find it in Oblivion Gates prior to 20.

@@nobleerobligeer8095 Because it is RNG loot and you can reload and try for something better if the contents are not to your liking. I have found skill books, higher level alchemy items(mortar and pestle, calcinator, etc.), excellent rings and armor, etc.

The chest inside the Ceyatatar forest secret door has a good chance of having alchemy equipment. You can save outside the trap door and keep reloading. For weapons, you can do the same thing outside the Rockmilk Cave command tent. The outer chest at Ceyatatar is a safe container after you take the initial contents. In that way it is like the chest west of Cloud Ruler Temple. Sometimes there is a glitch where if you reload the autosave after going through the trap door, the stone doorway into the big main room will be open and you can fight your way to the boss chest inside, too.

There is a secret boss chest in the sewers/prison sub-basement at the spot where in the tutorial you exit the goblin lair and have to jump down to meet up with Uriel and the boys. It is there when you go back to kill Valen Dreth. You have to jump up onto the ledge to see it. I found it when I tried to get back into the Goblin lair area, but that is blocked off at that point.

There is an underwater Ayleid ruin close to either the bridge to cheydinhal county or the bridge to the southeast, across the river from bravil and leywin. Its name starts with a "V" and I found it by some suspicious ayleid blocks that were submerged, but still visible from shore. From there you swim out a little ways, looking down for a typical ayleid door... just at the bottom of the lake. To simplify, walk to bridge outside Imperial city, go to shore on the NORTHERN side of said bridge. Walk along the shore til you see the white blocks just off shore, then swim straight out and down. I think it was called Vanua or something of the like. Someone find it please. Tired of not knowing anyone else who knows about it.

I think I figured out my confusion. I probably found vanua without being on the knights questline. It's about the only explanation I keep arriving at that makes sense cause I've found no dungeons recently :(

the easyiest way to get daderic armor is get all the bound armor spells cast them repair it all as you wear it wait a hour and bam free daderic/bound armor

what level is your character doing all this? that is relevant to the content of these chests, I just looked and found a bunch of lame stuff that wasn't worth the effort. my character is level 31 and there were no "boss" chests for me. very little coinage like 27 max and only one weapon out of every location at miscarcand and it was a lame silver battleaxe, the only useful thing anywhere were the soul gems in the underground ayleid chest on the right at ceyatatar, no gemstones, nothing like what you show, did you plant that stuff?

Rotten Head for anyone else in the future reading this, it is random loot. That is why it says at the beginning to save before you loot it so if it is crappy gear, just reload till you get something good.

+Oscar Rodriguez It depends on your level. I know you are probably done with your runthrough, but that's the way Oblivion's loot system works. Once you level up more (usually after level 22+), you will start to see more Daedric, Orcish, and Glass armor/weapons being used by NPCs. It's around this time when you should hunt for boss level chests because it will typically have this armor in it.
