I played this game in 2006 when it first came out and many more times over the years since but until today I never knew about it used this glitch 18 years later

I remember I made a dark elf character and I discovered this glitch on my own without finding it on youtube. I was overencumbered and tried dropping some stuff. I ended up doing this over and over again then I purchased Benirus Manor in anvil and Rosethorn Hall in Skingrad, and I bought the black and burgundy and blue suede outfit with black and gold trimmed shoes. Then I used a Silver longsword and bought a black horse from cheydinhal and I always carried high quality wine on my character because I figured my character was now a noble for having two properties fully upgraded and still had like 100k gold despite being only level 5-10.

It works if you drop stacks the problem is that it becomes a nightmare to collect them all because it will always ask you how many do you want to pick up. Its just too much clicking.

The key is making them multiples of the dupe scroll and in even numbers. This allows you to make convenient stacks of however many you want. They divide evenly so say you have 76 of the item you want to dupe and 50 scrolls... Drop 66 of them and keep 10. When you dupe the item, it will create 5 stacks of 10 to easily pick up. Then you only pick up one stack per dupe. Same with 100. Drop 50 of the item and dupe the other 50 from the 100 scrolls. 2 stacks of 50. Pick up one stack only, rinse and repeat.

I never used scrolls just collected a bunch of them this has saved me countless hours trying to save up money cause damn the inflation in the game is ridiculous

I remember the first time I played oblivion. Within the first like 10 minutes I figured out you could dupe items by dropping an item from your inventory and immediately shooting it with an arrow. Decided the game probably wasn't worth my time (I had never heard of the elder scrolls at that point). I keep looking for youtube videos about it but I guess this glitch ended up being easier after all these years

Steam Version PC: 11/24/24 : It works, but not on every single item. Used for Black Soul Gems, Arrows, Self-Enchanted Weapon, SKOOMA, and Lockpicks. (100 Scrolls on Lockpicks crashed my game 😂).

Dude so i was given 3 scrolls from someone and i was excited to dupe finally and i noticed there are no numbers. Like it just shows one scroll still even though it said x3 when given to me. So idk if this is possible anymore

After trying it for hours I learned you can only duplicate weapons that haven’t been used yet and only in single quantities

@Apprecihateu from what I have read, never having done this glitch, it has to be stackable items. So armor and weapons are out, however, filled soul gems are in. Try that instead, to refill staves, or do high value potions, varla stones, lots of options to try. Which varla stones recharge 100% of any items charge instantly IIRC

It has to be pristine to be stackable enchanted items must be fully charged fully repaired

Have 2 or more scrolls of the same kind Equip those scrolls Drop the item you want to duplicate (Make sure there is only 1 of said item in your inventory) You will then see the duplicated items drop to the ground Some items don’t work It’s fairly simple

That's what I'm wondering. I duped things back in the day on Xbox. Now I'm on PC Steam (Yes buying the game again, but updated Gold Edition for less than 5 Space Bucks) and now I'm having difficulties with controller functionality and it's not working for me @@justinmanwell1038
