Fun fact: the arena posters are an Easter egg, being very heavily based on the cover art for the very first TES game, The Elder Scrolls: Arena. The first elder scrolls game was meant to be a fighting game, where the gameplay is almost exactly what the arena quest line is (was supposed to be). You and a team of fighters would travel to multiple arenas and fight to become the grand champion in the imperial city. They decided to make it a full blown rpg, but had already had the marketing material produced, hence the title and cover art.

I love them, but they really suffer from leveled stats and value. It is a big let down when your legendary artifact is only pulling like 3k at a shop and is getting outscaled by normal loot.

My favourite DLC in Elder Scrolls. A perfect package of content in a neat little bundle.

They’re going to do half of hammerfell but they’ll stretch it out with a lot of nothing in between the cities so it seems “to scale” or we’ll get full hammerfell but a lot of cities will have been “destroyed” in the war. Orsinium and 1 city in high rock will be the DLC. MAYBE we’ll get 1 island with like 1 Sload on it. You’ll hear in game rumors of an akaviri landing in Morrowind or black marsh but that’s it. Prepare to be wildly disappointed and if you were a stormcloak fan prepare for Ulfric to get dragged, he will either have been crushed like a nothing burger and given passing mention or exiled in hammerfell where he’ll be a drunk and demeaned. Dragon shouts/sword singing for sure and very cheesy. The thalmor/empire war will not have started and you’ll probably have to convince one or both factions in Hammerfell to give either Great War faction support. DLC will be about rebuilding orsinium and some love or orphan who is the real heir type quest in high rock. There are a few pintrist accounts that are associated with designers someone found and posted to Reddit. It not only predicted some DLC for another game they did, but starfield and now hammerfell, it’s mostly all north and Central African architecture they’ve pinned to the account.

I'm dreading what's going to get cut next for streamlining. Tamriel as a setting shrinks everytime they want to portray something but decide its just a bit too tricky to do right. Or if continuing the story of an area would require them to actually make a point. My prediction for the civil war is Ulfric wins and is immediately overcome by the empire, resetting to the status quo and leaving the empire in no position to do anything but fight the dominion to a drawn out quagmire. Nothing changes, everything is worse, classic bethesda ending.

Always hated that most of the gear from vendors have curses. Like Aegis of the Apocalypse. What's the point in having heavy armor when it drains your health by 20 and your luck by 5 which affects all your skills. Like wow, totally great armor worth 6000 gold. It makes more sense with things like Tower of the Nine where you're probably not wearing light anyways eith a heavy shield.

Fun fact: the secret ciirta saw was the throne empty during the last greymarch. She survived, ran to the throne for aid and asylum (pun intended) but found the throne empty. She misinterpreted what this meant, but still saw the truth

Honestly i think knights of the nine is one of the best TES dlcs and stories, it might be shorter than Dawnguard and tribunal but i think its story is very strong

My least favorite dlc from elder scrolls (discounting stuff like horse armor lol). Pelinal whitestrakes lore really does not line up with being some holy knight to be sought only by the humble and virtuous. Dude was a genocidal madman who might've been a time traveling cyborg, they did him way dirty lol. A good story if they used literally anyone else except him

You don't have to go all the way around to get the helmet, instead of jumping down and making your way all the way around, you can just jump over diagonally to the right when you first enter the room with the shrine in it. Simples.

As cool as the deadra and other evil groups in the elder scrolls are, i like that we got a dlc focusing more on the nine divines! There is a ton of info in the lore and in-game books on them, but we dont really get a lot of quests about them

The very first time I played oblivion I had all the dlcs downloaded and I went to anvil to start the fighter guild quests and I went to the chapel after hearing about the prophet. Let me tell you the scene I walked into scared me so bad. I was like “damn man I just started the game 😭” then as years went by I realized I didn’t need to download the dlcs right away (I was young playing this game) and I missed normal interactions with the chapel npcs 😂by doing so

Finding all the places is a pain! But I do love this quest line. I tends to do it after the dark brother hood.
