There's a place called Black Sea region of Turkey. The people who live there are very fond of weapons. These people started to produce hand-made pistols and over time, the state claimed them and turned them into fabrication. The Sarsılmaz brand is also a brand belonging to the city called Düzce and is like its counterparts in the black sea. They are doing very high quality and successful jobs.

Sar9 for the win. I think it's a waaaaay too underated pistol. Never heard of any actual complaints. Glad its underated to keep the price down but would be amazing if the aftermarket support was greater but I cant complain about my sar 9t.

@@OBNXS1 The Sar is scary accurate. The first time I shot it I kept nailing the same hole at 7 yards, it kind of freaked me out because I could not tell I was hitting on the paper target. Also I absolutely love the ergo's on this pistol.

Love my sar9. Optics footprint is rmsc, and I'm running a romeo zero, love it as well. 2000 rounds through it and not a single malfunction. Not one. An extremely reliable gun. They run 150000 rounds through them at factory if I'm not mistaken. I'm a big guy and no gun I've ever held fits my hand this well. Can't praise it enough.

Sig sauer RomeoZero fits perfectly, turns out for the sights (rear iron sight and the optics mount) use the M&P shield sight footprint. The front sight can be replaced with just about any glock sight. Hope this helps!

You don’t need to pull the slide back on the SAR 9X to tear down. Remove the magazine and clear the weapon, pull the take down slide down until you hear a click, pull the slide forward to remove.

Will a Glock 17 holster fit the Sar9x? I want to buy a tier 1 axis elite holster but they do not have one specific to the sar9. I would rather carry my Sar9x than be in a rush to buy a Glock 19. Just to be able to have a quality holster if I can make the Sar9x fit . In 2023 do you have any holsters to recommend that fit the sar9x, Thank you?

It’s unlikely it will fit. The trigger guards are too different. You may be able to find an all around leather holster that will fit but anything kydex would have to be specific to the Sar.

I used to shoot with my right arm straight and then the same ‘sideways cupping motion’ with the left hand... I was at a range today and someone told me to loosen up my arms and bend my right elbow so holding the pistol a little bit closer to chest and I actually had better accuracy that way it just felt weird. That's going to be tough to find one for the Sar9. I'm not even sure that would be available anywhere. The Omnivore holsters by Blackhawk would be the closest I can think of but I think they're only L2. Is the level three what you're comfortable carrying with or are there other reasons you want/need that much retention?

The sar 9x platinum was designed to be a mix between HK & Glock as you can tell from the slide, the striker, the grip etc you can even swap the recoil spring with the glock 17 recoil spring

Not right now. They just started coming into the country this year and not too many people have even heard of them, so the aftermarket support just isn’t there yet. SarUSA seems to be bringing in a ton so hopefully they get some really good traction and people start demanding aftermarket items.

Those Lymen scales are so inaccurate it’s unbelievable. You can tell just by pulling the trigger that it’s not 3 pounds it’s way heavier on my scale is 7 pounds.

I didn’t realize you did all that I don’t recall you mentioning that in the video. But I have the spring scale and it’s cheap and simple but if you have shot a lot of guns you get a feel for trigger wait poor and I’m very sensitive to that because of chronic arthritis in my hands. Anyway your triggers probably way better because of the modifications you’ve made to it so you probably are lower but I find that those digital scales when I compare them are always a couple pounds less Then my scale. That’s just been my experience but I’m glad you’re been able to get your trigger pull down to what sounds to be a very comfortable wait. Personally I’m going to install the Galloway precision short reset trigger and spring kit I think that’s gonna make a huge difference.

Galloway wasn’t doing the triggers when I made this video; I ended up with a Freedomsmith after this. I’ve found that the spring scale is absolutely terrible; it’s incredibly easy to over pull on that and get a higher trigger weight. I have both the Lyman and Wheeler digital now and they’re usually within a couple ounces of each other.

Glock 19 was from 1982 and SAR-9X is 2020. Almost 40 years different. So the comparision is unbalanced. I'm a Turk by the way. I won't defend my own country weapon. We know SAR-9X's pretty good but this comparision... I don't know...
