Sis Bridget when I came to Nigeria last year before the pandemic, I stayed in a hotel with My Hubby because of security reasons. I love my Mother and Father in law but My Hubby knew I was at risk staying in the village. Everything you are saying is so true. My best friend Sister and her church members were gathered up by the American Embassy to fly out immediately because of danger lurking around them after they were exposed. 🇺🇸 I love Nigeria. It's a country of beautiful people and culture. I pray one day soon it will be free of all these troubles soon. 🇺🇸

Thanks Obodo Oyibo TV. The last time I went home, I entered a bus from Lagos to the East. Mmmm wahala... the bus driver hated me. He has never seen me before o. Just my appearance, he said I work in Oil Company. He said I am eating Nigeria oil money. I was just praying not to get hurt. Nigerians will definitely know if you fall in from Obodo Oyibo. No be JuJu be that !!!

Your actually right. Spent 15 years in the UK but because I was an Army brat I can speak Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo. Immediately I came out of the airport I wrapped my wrappa on top my trouser and found my way to my hotel. But the mistake I made was not taking my tag off, on my way to the East at that Benin underpass the police kept us for two hours. The driver took me aside and told me it's because of my tag. I quickly paid them and destroyed the tag. Fast forward now I have my ankara dress and slippers, I go to one of the local bus terminals and travel home. Easy no stress.

Don’t be surprised that someone else has collected that gratuity on your behalf…🤦🏾♀️😬 I like that “ loose the British accent” my children are already learning the 9ja accent from all the “Mark Angel comedy” 😂 It can be so hard to “blend in” when you have kids with you sha. Even those who have never left 9ja before fit do accent more than those who live abroad 😏

Sis Bridget you are absolutely right. Nigerians need to speak up about what is happening in Nigeria. I am married to a Amazing Nigerian Hubby and it's hard living there and people are afraid to speak up. But this is the only way a change for the people will happen. How long is this going to go on ? Please our Nigerian family, you have to let the World know. Thank you Sis Bridget for the information on coming home to Nigeria. ❤🇺🇸

People coming to social media that are Nigerians spoiling their country name everywhere in the world running out of their country, can't they come back to Nigeria to fight government if they really want better things for Nigeria, why are they living their country spoiling the name of their country that's the reason when they heard you are from Nigeria they will not like to associate with you. I don't blame them is how you people spoiling the name of your country on social media.

Thank you so much for this video. These advices do not only apply to Nigeria alone but also to other countries. I'm a diasporan Congolese man from the DRC and when I go to Kinshasa I follow exactly some of what you mentioned. I've to say however that apart from the Eastern and North Eastern regions of our country we don't face that level of insecurity you guys have in Nigeria, but still criminality is real. It’s very interesting to hear this from someone British born and travel to Nigeria regular since I was 19 without my parents. I’ve not really needed to change my accent, not tell people I’ve arrived and take tags off or change my cloths. If you internalise that something is lurking (danger) you’ll find it or it will find you. Yes Nigeria is different and government has failed us like crazy but there is nothing to be scared of. It’s only God protecting us every step of the way regardless. I ride Uber/ Bolt alone and often walk to places in Lagos alone minding my business. Rightfully you’ve said tho, dress simple doing be doing rich rich I wanna I wanna and think no one will say ‘anything for the boys’ that between you and you. Be wise, have fun and enjoy Nigeria

Those people that will be updating their wakabout (aka movements) on social media (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook etc) they are just inviting *monitoring spirits* (in human form) into their affairs. Even when Nigeria was still safe in the 90's and early 2000's we never tell folks living in our hometowns (aka villages) that we are coming to visit nor when we are living. *We just show up SURPRISE SURPRISE* 🤣🤣🤣& everyone got used to it. For some unknown 🤷🏽♀️reasons, our 👨👩👧 family has always been mysterious about giving out information of our movements. In fact ehhhh we blame 🇳🇬Nollywood (which we love dearly 💚) with all due respect 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣after all Na just 🤷🏽♀️*common sense* 👯
