reading a synopsis of the plot, it does sound kinda interesting in the sense of tackling the exploitation of young men in the name of war, propaganda and its uses in establishing false precedents for geopolitical objectives, the broken foreign intervention policies of the early 0ds, and the repetitive cycles of violence that often emerge from these conflicts. i think it either needed a tighter script or to really lean into its ideas more heavily, cause from the sounds of it a lot of the ingredients are certainly there for an interesting story.

they could have kept the nectar mechanic until at least halfway through the game. they could have made joining the good guys an option, or a whole another campaign altogether, so you could see the same missions differently. when you switch sides, they could have made it so that you still have to take the nectar from time to time because of addiction, so you'd have to harvest it from fallen enemies. they could have made the neon lights on the enemies their weak spots. they could have set more missions in the futuristic jungle setting. they could have done something with this premise.
