This game is made by one guy. It got way more popular than he expected. His discord and the steam discussions is filled with people complaining the game isn't finished despite the fact the game is Early Access and is not advertised as finished. Despite this, he still released this update a little over a week after the last big update.

I'm literally glued to the screen watching this. I don't think I've been so invested in a game for years. Big explosions, big plot, shooting? I put it on the second monitor. Supermarket simulator? I can't even eat while watching, I need 100% of my brain to pay attention to every detail.

Personal update: I remember watching this video last night in bed and thinking "oh, I might have to buy this game, I'll think about it in the morning". I woke up and it's in my Steam library, so I must have bought it while asleep. I love this game and can barely wait to play it.

what i wanna know is how the stockers’ ai works. if there’s an empty shelf, does the game keep track of what was last on it? if you put in a brand new shelf and never put any items on it, what do the stockers put there? do the stockers wait until a shelf is complely empty so they only make one trip from stock room to shelf to trash, or do they keep walking back and forth and topping off shelves until the box is empty? so many questions

Just hired and fired my first stocker in a matter of 10 seconds. I literally have labels for where the milk goes on the shelf and he puts it next to the water cause of the empty space. Until that gets fixed I'll be doing it myself as per usual no thanks.

Early access helps game devs/ the game itself make more money to continue updating the game and adding new features and adding quality of life updates without taking out debt and risking money. Now they can put a game out early to test the feedback for the game and change it based on the community’s comments. I don’t support early access but it’s going nowhere lol. Games are able to raise money early in the beginning of the games release date and make decisions easier without losing tons of money by just releasing a full game.
