Biggest problem was balancing. It was basically guaranteed that you would be single-handedly carrying the game as a Republic player due to how much better droidekas and wrist rockets are than grenades for BF AI. You also couldn't play a dedicated sniper going after enemies in quiet areas as it was almost guaranteed that you couldn't make up for how poorly the others on your team were doing in the hot zones.

@@leowilliamson1573 also on some maps the unkillable heroes would just have ai tunneled directly into their corridor making it very lopsided also that one kashyyyk map is broken for the droids because the droidekas just kill themselves on the water leaving their spawn

I always thought the maps in BF1 were a lot more enjoyable than what was in 2. They were more open and had cool concepts, where the sequels maps were smaller and more concerned about balance.

Battlefront 2 also had a lot of interior maps so you had no vehicles pretty often.

I feel like BF1 is a much more polished experience than BF2 (especially on PC), but BF2 has a lot more content and mods in general, plus space battles and playable hero units, so people tend to like it more. I personally like 1 a bit more, but 2 is dope as well. You can't really go wrong with either.

fun fact: the crosshair in bf2 was calibrated in 4:3 resolution but not 16:9. it's accurate in 3rd person if u use a 4:3 resolution.

Battlefront 2 is technically better but Battlefront 1 has this irreplacable charm and sense of adventure that 2 lacks. I think it has a lot to do with the huge variety of maps and the forced anonymity. Like you can't play as a Jedi or a Hero, so you're literally just some guy and feel like it.

Ya the older games (PS2) era having low graphics challenged the devs to rely on other things to make it exciting. I feel like that attention to the player is missing in modern games

I like the UI and menus way more than 2. The video tutorials were really neat and having native planetary forces displayed as yellow was great too! The repair droids for vehicles were a bit OP so I'm not too sorry to see them go. BF1 Hoth was better than 2 because the Empire starts with only the outpost and AT-ATs rather than immediately having one of the Rebel Bunkers. It makes the battle feel more progressive. Also the Snow Speeders rear gunner could fire regular blaster shots instead of just the tow cable. Conquest was kind of cool with each planet having two battlefields and unique bonuses, though if you managed to win every battle successfully you'd never be able to assault the opponent's home planet without activating your instant win power. BF2 conquest was a bit of a pain because you'd normally follow a cycle. Both sides would get into a space battle over a planet, the winner would then assault that planet or the adjacent one, then the loser would immediately spawn their new fleet at the neighboring planet and launch another space battle over the planet just lost (or held).

Video idea: the OG Star Wars the Clone Wars Game fron 2003. It came on xbox bundled with Tetris lmao It featured vehicle combat through a funky campaign that was written before episode 3 including REALLY bad CGI cutscenes, terrible voice acting, weird ass planets and vehicles that are never seen again, jedi gameplay with tank controls, and a literal soul harvester that is never mentioned ever again. Its all kinds of goofy and bad, and i have so much nostalgia for it

Get ready for some Battlefront 1 back seat gaming: you gotta use more grenades. They are easy to place, they have short fuses, and the enemy AI is generally not responsive enough to move. So if you place them correctly, it’s a few free kills per player life.

In many ways, yes. The aoe damage from ships and other weapons, the better aim on the clone rifles, and other minor details. If only there were playable heroes in Bf1

BF1 is definitely harder, I had to struggle to get through 1’s story when I picked up both like 6mo ago in a completely legal way that didn’t circumvent any copyright protection mechanisms

I think the gameplay and the maps are vastly superior in BF1 (i don't think it needs sprinting at all) BF1 feel more realistic (big open maps, better AI logic, prone and realistic movement speed) while BF2 feel more arcade (small and clustered maps with the exception of geonosis, kashyyyk and the maps comming from BF1, AI focusing you with shitty aiming instead of attacking everyone...) The classes and loadouts are better in BF1 (it's sad that they cut the sixth class and droideka was too strong but still), i like the fact that you don't have to unlock them, i am rly not a fan of shooter games that include some kind of "progression/unlocking" system, that grant you better classes and better weapons, i prefer the classic "everyone can play everything from the start" The HUD is again, vastly superior in BF1, in BF2 it's just too big and goofy (mostly that awfull oversized reticle) BF1 one just look clean and immersive and you have that cool cockpit view in 1st person for vehicles Now what i like in BF2: -The improved Campaign and Galactic Conquest -The new game modes (even if i think space battles are pretty generic since they all looks pretty much the same and you loose reinforcement too fast in classic conquest mode) -Playable heroes -The officer class (that mostly re use cut stuff from BF1 since it was originally supposed to be in the game) -Less blur (depth of field) i rly don't like blurring in games so i am happy they tuned it down in BF2 (you can disable motion blur but not depth of field in BF1) Tho one thing i do hate in BF1 is the fact that you can't leave the game when you are on the score screen, you have to click finish to wait for the loading time of the maps then you can quit wich is pretty dumb Anyway keep the gameplay, mapstyle and HUD from BF1, with most of the new content from BF2 and you have the best of both worlds

Battlefront 1 has its strong points like I love how it focuses a lot more on big ground vehicle battles. While Battlefront 2 has a lot of interior maps and has dedicated maps for the epic space battles.

BF1 is my favorite in my opinion. I love the simplicity, the maps, and when you throw a grenade at yourself, enemies, or your own teammates they go absolutely flying!

heroes being invincible unless u knock em off the map or run them over is kinda what makes bf1 heroes unbalanced the devs really wanted to make u feel like you had no chance against them

2 definitely made some substantial improvements; the sprint meter, the ability to switch classes at a CP without dying, an expanded Galactic Conquest, ground vehicles having weak points, engineers being able to hijack vehicles, etc. That said, I personally prefer 1. There's enough stuff it did better that 2 doesn't objectively supersede it; it has better stock maps (Rhen Var, Bespin, original Geonosis, Dune Sea, etc.), there are tangible (minor) differences between each faction's generic classes, ground vehicles actually feel powerful and intimidating to go up against because they have a ton of health and can kill you in one shot, all the vehicles have first-person cockpit views, the respawn/class select map tells you which command posts will spawn vehicles, there are more sound effects (SBD footsteps are different from a B1's, rebel blaster rifle reload sounds different from Imperial E-11, etc.), and the menu UI and HUD is infinitely better than the generic one in 2.

Its sucks that this game is too superweirdly buggy for me! Cant even play half the missions, when I press some missions it says that I allready played and won(even though I have not played it yet) that one and then it returns to the start menu (xbox series s)

If you mean Battlefrint 2 (2005), yes to both. It has couch multiplayer and not just CoOp, you can fight with and against up to 4 players on one screen. ...saying this has made me realize yet again Couch CoOp is an underused, nearly forgotten relic of modern games.
