The problem using broadcast is it uses a ton of resources of your GPU, so it can affect up to 30%ish of you gaming performance depending on how many filters you are using.

I prefer using the Nvidia Broadcaster software for the background removal because I find that it's smoother around the edges versus using it as a filter in OBS. The downside is that it's all or nothing in terms of having that camera as a source in OBS, meaning I can't do different scenes with and without the background removal. As a result, I have to manually toggle the background removal on/off in the Nvidia Broadcaster software if I want to show/hide the background. It's a minor inconvenience for smoother edges.

Non of them could really make the background go away and not seem good. I have a really high end pc, with rtx4090 and your video solved it for me. hope you have other videos to explain why you recommended to download the other sdk's .

Once you remove the background how exactly do you add a media source as a new background? You kinda skipped over that part. I also have the "background removal plugin" which you would then make the background green but this doesn't seem to work the same way. I got it working flawlessly in Nvidia Broadcaster but can't seem to figure it out in OBS.

the NVIDIA background removal removes everything including my face. Is the problem that I'm using the built in camera on the laptop? Because currently its just a black screen when I make the threshold 1.00. It shows me my face from threshold 0.0-.05

gave this a go today and its a great effect, however it cant decide with over ear (purple coloured so doesnt blend to background) headphones whether to remove them or not ending up with them phasing/flickering in and out a tonne - do you have any recommendations on how to reduce the flickering?

Yes I experienced this too with my chair. I find what helps is to use contrasting colors, so I throw a light colored jacket on my chair. It makes it easier for the AI to recognize your background.

Can yall help me out im obs windows 10 microphone from webcam . When I stream to twitch the audio is like 20 sec delay.. I have tried a regular mic . My upload speed is 25 no lagging except audio. I have listened to it on my phone and counted 20 seconds. But when I record the preview in twitch there is no audio lag at all. Im pulling my hair out here. Please help

Same underlying technology. The OBS filter can work on any source though, only runs when you need it to, and still gives you access to your unfiltered camera for your Just Chatting scene/wherever else you want to use it.

So I’m curious if anyone has any experience with just a blurred background not of your camera but of your OBS scene. I was looking up how to have your OBS background be blurred with it being transparent. So like if i am playing a video game the outside edges of the scene are affected by the game window. I can try to elaborate more if needed

Install the Composite Blur plugin and Source Clone plugin. Make a clone of your gameplay. Apply blur filter to clone. Put clone behind gameplay. Boom done. You can look at my past broadcasts on Twitch to see how this looks (I've been doing this effect for like the past 7 years lol).
