since your saying ur didnt master it your not a hypocrite, one more thing, with the word observation i had a bit confusion because usually what happened was that, when example i was watching my breath with eyes closed, except the beathe i more was concentrating on a wavy image in my mind that represented as a breath. So instead of observing as a cue the cue merging was more helpful for me, as a concious living, when i was watching my thoughts in the thought itself, it helped me much, or my breath or any sensation in sensation itself, i knew i fall into a consious being. I struggled a lot with this, thanx for the video again, geoff is the man.

RJN4444 Completely agree. Fantastic video. For anyone that wants to read more about this I'm currently reading books by Pema Chodron. So much of the stuff Geoff describes in this video is in her books too.

I read eckharts book due to a blog Geoff did, and I've studied meditation for a few years and I've found if Iam in the now, I confront people who I'd normally not. Not based around fear I just can't be arsEed, but recently I've automatically snapped back with out fear of embarrassment. Very nteresting

I am i the process of doing this myself, the hardest one for me to not engage with is the anger its such a powerful demon, but i keep going! i just removed a giant spider from my bathroom aswel without killing it , which was the scariest option, for me , feel euphoric now its done though! spiders are my worst fear, which is m, and i have been beating the voice of doubt, which has helped me commit to full time traiining and eating well, also im writing a book, when im writing i can feel the doubt rise up but just observe it and tell it to shut the f up. I have the firm belief that miracles will come!

shinzen young talks much about this, not that you suppress the feeling, but you moment by moment dont fixate any identified self, and thus dont suppress it subconciously, so the fear or anger or any of that trancsending like a wave. And in the end you ride this wave fully, and the fixation what it does its literally suppressing the feeling by fixating on it identifying with it) wich cause suffering.
