I don't know how i feel about this. I know Seth is an amazing musician, and Michael is a great singer, but them making fun of that note just doesn't sit well with me. For the character Lorell I kind of get it mainly because Loretta Divine originated the role and she is high as hell, but her understudy was Cheryl Alexander her voice is literally the complete opposite of Loretta. Michael's '"November's guest" sounded good, so I don't get the joke of it sounding bad unless he is saying that it just over powered everyone's voice and didn't fit. Just because an original sang it in a range doesn't mean it has to stay like that unless that's the whole point of said character or song. If that was the case then Michael would not have had the parts he has done because everyone he replaced was lower than him from miss Saigon to big river.
