Great looking bow you all really upped your cnc programing game and trimmed weight ,im glad companies finally settled on a split cable buss type system to eliminate cam lean like darton did 20years ago and so did pse . The axle adjustment looks straight off a bowtech though

It looks like the axle tuning system is more than meets the eye. On the first bow it is mounted so that the axle sits outboard of the limb tips with the axle biased to hug the line of the limb. On the second bow it is turned 180 degrees so that the axle sits inboard of the limb tips and the axle sitting higher. First bow therefore gets a shorter ATA relative to limb tips and longer brace. Second bow gets a longer ATA relative to limb tips and a much shorter brace. Intentional I hope! But a smart way to manipulate bow specs by having the cam slide mechanisms being multifit.

Man I really hope the ultra mags are actually “ready to ship”. I just don’t see that being the case though. I ordered a 360 11 months ago when they first came out, starting to wonder if I’ll ever see that bow. Going to give it a couple more months before canceling bc it looks awesome!

I hope they can get themselves together. This company seems like it’s been a mess. KS has a split personality when it comes to reputation. He sure knows how to squeeze performance out of a bow, but he also seems to have chaos follow him. He’s a talented designer so I hope this all works out. How will obsession be able to fight Bowtech in court though, when they inevitably get sued for patent infringement.

@ I recognize that. Athens’ attorneys told them they were fine too. Athens didn’t close shop because they were proven to have infringed, they closed shop because they didn’t have the money to fight the battle in the first place. All Bowtech has to do is file the suit, right or wrong, and Obsession will have to dig deep in their pockets to pay lawyers to defend them. If Athens didn’t have the coin to do it, I highly doubt Obsession does either.

@@Bowhunter82 I hope I’m wrong. More competition leads to more innovation leads to better bows for all of us. I don’t like KS business practices, but he’s had his hand in some amazing products. If they can stay out of court, keep KS in the R&D lab where he thrives, and figure out how to actually deliver products to the hands of hunters, it’s better for all of us. I wish them nothing but success.

In 10 years, you’re wanting me being in business. They’re not a very good bow. They’re heavy a lot of vibration chasing Matthews and Hoyt. They’re never gonna catch up to him. PSC bear. There are a lot better too.

Why do companies keep infringing on bowtech? Mathews did too now. I know i know" they are totally different designs" blah blah. We will see next year if mathews still has that system.

I mean the Matthews system is definitely unique because the limb moves and not the cam (which I actually think is worse than the Bowtech system), Athens really messed up with their approach. So I hope Obsession have made this different enough or are paying the patent so the don't end up like Athens.

The Mathews system is mechanically and in execution completely different to Bowtech. Bowtech keeps limbs in one spot laterally and the cam moves relative to the riser. Mathews keeps the cam in one spot but moves 1 limb to change limb deflection essentially at the cam. The Obsession system might be on thin ice. Its like having deadlock on both sides of the cam - what you take from one side (cam shift) you have to give to the other or else you can either spread or narrow the limb tips around the cam. Hell, even Mathews might object because theoretically if you moved just one side (the RHS on a RH bow) , then it would actually mimic the Mathews system. They claim they are shifting the shim rather than the shaft like bowtech but I doubt lawyers may care.

KS following didn't he loose that years ago when he stole ppl money with the k&k poop show of a company even if ppl follow no one knows where he is at he has been fired more than anyone I heard of and moving so many times know one knows where he is at. He can design a bow but has to lie on speed to sell a bow as well.
