Those are some beautiful bows 🏹

Once I started using thumb draw I also learned very fast that as you increase bow poundage, a thumb ring (or glove) is mandatory. Do not try and bare thumb shoot over 50# or you can injure your thumb joint. With that said, high poundage asiatic bows are a thing of beauty.

I'd like to see you review the symmetrical and asymmetrical Jotomon from Bamboo Archery, Malaysia.

Hard to get those to me. Maybe one day :)
@stevenparsons4464Ай бұрын
@CharliesRunningArchery you won't be sorry for the investment. The thumb rings work are a shallow hook type and are fast. Their arrows sets are worth the investment.

I wouldn't consider 15 meters as long distances.😅 I usually train at 20, 30, and 40 meters with my recurve Bow. Everything 40 meters and above are far for me, since I can't see my arrows in the target anymore, because I'm old. 🤪
@CharliesRunningArcheryАй бұрын
It's hard to demonstrate the technique on camera over longer distances. It applies also to longer ranges :)

I shoot without nocks because I think they will slow my speed-shooting, but surely I'm missing some benefits because most people use nocks. Are nocks important? What benefits do they give? I suppose it can pinch the string which is essential for some draws, but I pinch the arrow butt with my thumb and pointer and draw the string with my other fingers. I suppose a nock can ensure good central contact upon release, but I seldom every see the string misfire past the arrow butt. These benefits don't persuade me, so what else am I missing?

Does anyone know if he is using carbon fiber arrows? I normally use bamboo but I want to get those nifty speed nockers.

Yes, those are alibow carbon arrows :)

Get rid of those astatic bows. I can't shoot one of those things worth shit and I'm a good shot to. Also those composite horsepower got the record for longest and hardest shot
@CharliesRunningArchery27 күн бұрын
I love asiatic bows :)
@Justanotherarcher2426 күн бұрын
Asiatic bows are way more affordable for the common person not everyone can afford a composite or a hornbow
@Manicarms27 күн бұрын
Just saying you hand a american any other bow and they automatically take to it. These bows are something else to master. Everyboby ive ever handed a asiatic bow to fumble shoot like a todler. Including me and i shoot spaghetti noodles for targets
@yerdeАй бұрын
buy more bows, advice my wife doesn't want to hear
@CharliesRunningArcheryАй бұрын
I did not say that :D
@societyofrobotsАй бұрын
No disrespect, but your implementation is extremely bad. The probability of you shooting and breaking another arrow on the target goes to 100%. If I'm changing angles, I would never shoot the same target. Learned that the hard way.
@CharliesRunningArcheryАй бұрын
THis is the risk I take for my development... I know "that" hard way too.
@societyofrobotsАй бұрын
@CharliesRunningArchery I use foam tipped arrows and human targets for my development. 😛
