Lovely voxel art, lovely pixel art, nice game concept but damn I really want that satisfying fighting animation and sound effects. I want to slash when I slash, bash when I bash, actually jump rather than just...float. Love the fact that things move when you hover your mouse over it like the trees bent and stuff. The humour is pretty good as well. Definitely putting this on my radar.

I totally agree with you on the sound. Before you said that I had paused the video to think for a second on what it might be, and sound was the first thing that came to mind. Sound is not something I normally praise or think about but it's one of those things where when it's missing or lacking you definitely notice it.

Thank You for covering Obsidian Prince Splat! It really is a Super Interesting RogueLike RPG that Deserves the Attention. Not just another card game here people! And that's a really good idea on putting the enemy info on a card on the upper left, it both makes the info pop more against the environment, as well as unify the visual design of the game, really leaning into the card aesthetic.👍 It was really interesting seeing you go through the campaign, while I beelined for the Dungeon runners mode, and played it more like a traditional RogueLike instead. I Hope the Visibility you have bestowed upon Obsidian Prince Helps People discover a Deep, Tactical, and Tough, yet Super Cute Indie RPG.☺️

Sound design is something I don't consciously think about most of the time, but when it's absent or lacking, I really notice. This is still in early access on Steam, but I did wishlist it. Hopefully it finishes and releases soon. Looks like fun!

Aww super cute! These chiptunes don't sound half bad. I wonder who did their OST. [Lautaro Arino] I was thinking the same thing, too. The audible feedback of various actions could use some love.

this game seems like it REALLY needs a way to manipulate the deck :) Things like drawing cards and especially the ability to lock cards would do wonders for it.

Well, first of all, the game is not a ' guild building Rpg ' ^^ it's a tactical roguelike, in which there's a roguelite part, the campaign, and a more roguelike part, the challenge mode. And honestly, for an early access release, the game is already polished as hell, even the SFX

Oh no, Feelings of Inadequacy rising!😟 I might never be as Huge as Splat, but I try the best I can with what I got. Motions of the Ocean, not Size of the Ship Right!? Right?🥺 But ya, Splat is Good. I do wish he did longer series on youtube like he used to, but I understand he's going the Twitch route more nowadays. Anyways, I do video series, if you can't catch splat on stream, or just want to try something different. Graphics are cute but I have a bit of trouble distinguishing the player character from the enemies. Not personally into the deck kind of game and this looks more annoying than most without any ability to pick your cards on a turn basis.

I probably wishlisted this from a previous showcase and just bought it. The sound effect thing is iffy for me - the combat looks fast and sound effects would probably actually slow it down. Option would be ideal. I'm a serious music lover and a musician of 40+ years and I almost always turn off music in games immediately. I mostly find it distracting and annoying . The music in this game is a good example of what I dislike, it's not terrible but it's pointless, it's nonstop, it's repetitive. It's getting disabled before I even load in my first play thru.
