An update 7/09/18 The devs have told us that we will not get 8 Golden Exobyte's there will be 4 only allowed for DPS augments and 4 only allowed for SUPPORT augments to level them. This does address some of our concerns with augments and we'll see what else they change

I apologize for the lengthy response but I am angry about this as this is DIRECTLY related to REAL MONEY we have put into this game. - I have four builds in my rage armory: Might melee with all elite gear and all Atlantean might mods, Might Ranged for multiple target boss fights and also the same elite gear with might atlantean mods, Precision DW ranged build for single target boss fights - all with a second set of elite gear modded with precision atlantean mods, and a Damage Tank build all elite and all modded with Atlantean Dom/Precision mods. By only giving us FOUR damaging golden exobytes I have to choose ONE playstyle for the indefinite future until I level the other stat up FROM SCRATCH. So I have to make a choice, do I scrap my ranged single target and damage tank build (because they are precision) OR do I take choose precision for the four golden exos and level my might builds from scratch (Might melee being rage's most beneficial build)? Players like me have pumped the most into replays, time, effort, and money into creating characters that can max out any scenario. We are getting punished by being forced to, once again, have a pay wall to expedite leveling up a new process where we should have been at or near the cap in the first place. Here's where I get angry... ARTIFACTS! For several iterations of time capsules players have pumped TONS of money into Time Capsules leveling separate artifacts for both our precision and might builds. I've spent twice $84.95 on station cash and pumped them into time capsules JUST ON THESE LATEST ONES. All this to level artifacts I CANNOT USE ANYMORE?!?!?! Or at least not until I level my stat that should have been leveled in the first place on par with a number that will make using these artifacts useful again??? FUCK THAT. We should get 8 damaging exos, 12 support exos, and that be the end of it. You can only equip four at any one time so having the extra stats aren;t even useful unless slotted on your character. THis current meta on test is BULLSHIT. I've put hte time to get two might artifacts to 120, one precision artifact to 120 and another precision artifact at 80. All from nth metal detectors, time capsules, and hours upon hours of gameplay that is being made useless after this meta on test. FUCK THAT!

msuphoto Yea its a rip off, people spent money for armories, replays, ect. to grind all those builds to be a diverse player. I'll be quitting soon as it drops, my league dead anyways.

Yea the devs are really limiting the types of spec's we can have especially not only for dps but as tank where rage and fire tanks would spec all health as it benefits them more than full DOM but the devs want to eliminate as much as the skill gap there is so forcing us into a situation were you can only pick certain augments so its a easier choice for beginner or noob player's. Now if we want to create our own personal spec's to maximize our role we are met with all these obstacles of augments and we lose out on all these mods we had or were used to before just because the devs don't understand how some players choose to spec.

The chances are that they only gave one set so that people could balance check what it takes to get your alternate mods up. Once the Augments drop on July 18th, I'm certain they will provide mods for both roles if you've geared for both roles.

I think the reason they are not going to give more than 4 golden exobite is because most players are not going to use it for their role and DPS. They are going to try to go all out on one role.

true but 1 golden exobyte will bring you to level 193 and max is 217 so they could put 2 golden's into 1 augment but that would be a drastic waste of XP because they only need 24 levels

I was cr176 120sp that just stuck to T7 and lower content. After revamp I thought balance was horrible. Could no longer solo lower content, mission times ballooned. Augment system sounds better than crafting mods. Artifacts I have no idea about. I see the stats between roles is still trash. But i miss all my toons. Have they fixed 4-8mans in lower content to let OP people feel OP in them??? I hate Daybreak but it would be great to have fun in this game again.

question. So im cr 195 and have about 5 equipment mods with olympian might and power. Pretty shit ik im a noob, started like a month ago and used the free advance. When augments come around, should i use four might augments or mix and match? Is it the most efficient as a dmg to go all might? (i use superpowers and only use weapons attacks while my power regens) Also, are affinity bonuses going away too?

Why is it I can't find anyone info on HOW TO GET AUGMENTS? Everybody says how to "level them up" or "fortify them". No info how to get them in the first place. Are they a reward? Do you make them? Do you have to buy them in the game store?

All old exobytes will still count towards XP for the augments you will get a bonus XP if you match the types so say you have red exobytes they will be worth more XP when used on the Might and Precision augments.

no the exobit nodes stay and we aren't being given the gather feats so when you get an exobit it would be used to increase XP

Hey Obsidian i have Exobytes, Focusing, Core, Simple & Complex Elements on other characters should i move them all to my main account or are they account bound?

you can move all those around they aren't locked at all, the only thing that is bound is if you have like any oceanic essence or essence from past episodes those are locked to the current toon but everything else can freely trade or go in the shared bank

Could you explain how dom matters for a healer, I main healer but I dont have anything boosting my dom because I didnt know it mattered

dom is apart of the healing equation so your heals are the base multiplier*(30% Restoration + 25% Dominance) and when you use a shield its based on the base shield multiplier*(112.5% Restoration + 150% Dominance)

Is it based on CR or Equipped CR example I'm 240 CR but my Equipped CR is 239 because I use the starro face instead of 205 face for extra prec stat on Dps side and extra Dom stat on tank side

Everything is based on your CR say if you CR is 240 but you are wearing gear that is 234 and you get a new gear drop it will be based on CR 240 because that is your max cr not the equipped cr.

that i'm not sure about, someone mentioned it on the forums and the devs just ignored the question so not sure if that will impact anything. I know the kits will be XP boosters so they may be good and not worth wasting 20 of them to pull your mods out if you have 2 full sets. I will know more as the week progresses

nah at the moment you only get 4 golden exobytes which means you'll have to choose between prec or might unless you do 2 prec and 2 might for a balance etc. But you can't "atm" do 4 prec and 4 might etc you'll have to grind out the whole other 4 augments the way it currently is.

I would wait to see how much XP they are going to give you. If you wanted you can open 1 or 2 and then compare to see if you made the right decision etc but I would hold off for now on doing anything to prepare for this DLC cause we don't know the XP values.

Disco D the issue is that your mods rn don't last to the next dlc. They become irelivent and need to be replaced . With these you'll still have to replace some every episode but instead of having to craft or buy all 10 then replaced all 10 the next dlc ,this time you only have to replace 2. But the 4 bottom augments that they will automatically gift you that are supposed to rank you all the way to your current cr

yea I don't mind the concept of augments but they are really screwing over roles that modded specifically to make themselves better and there are lots of examples; tanks and health, healers and dom, controllers and power they are forcing us into 1 single playstyle which I don't agree with at all. Rage and Fire tanks take a hit in survivability with these augments because of their decreased health pools devs don't understand there is multiple playstyles for a role
