What about Horizon Zero Dawn though. I personally didn't like it (maybe I need to play it more) but they stepped into a genre where they had 0 experience (since they only made Killzone first person and top down third person before) and came out with a good game. Still is impressive here but Guerrilla might also be the same in that way

Early on I always talked about how this game could go the route of minecraft. Feel like we are slowly heading this, and I'm loving it. Amazing game. But as more of this sandbox/forge-esque stuff is being added, I'm looking forward to seeing where this game is 5/10 years from now. Would mainly love to see more "mod" friendly stuff. Mainly cause I'd love to dabble with adding rideable insects, or my dream of having a turtle in the pond that I can build a fort on their back, going further with fighting off waves as the turtle travels to other yards in the block. Give us the tools. Make sure they are good tools. Give us the freedom, and we can take it from there.

Mod support would be insane. One of my (and many others) biggest complaint about the game is that there's not much replayability. Everything is always in the same spot, every time, and the tasks are always the same. You can try a different weapon, but you could just do that in your one "main" playthrough too (and there's also not a lot of variability in how "builds" affect your overall playstyle, either). With the right tools, the sky is truly the limit with modding. Custom weapons, armor, bosses, common bugs, and even yards would keep the game fresh and allow the game to continue having longevity even after the devs inevitably stop updating it.

When you guys first started doing a survival game I felt a little iffy since it was an area they didn't really have experience with but I have been surprised so much by this game. By 1.0 I already felt like it was one of the best survival games out there and it feels like with each update you keep managing to make it better and better. I love how much you are listening to the fans too and it feels like pretty much every little thing that frustrates me at times in survival game you have taken into account and worked on improving it.

Not only a Creative/Forge type sandbox community building, but also SO many amazing QoL improvements too, like a quest system update, tufts not taking up trinket slots (unless using the infinite use one, which is now actually infinite lol), new builds, quicker attacking, new basic trinkets, new basic healing potion, and one of the biggest things for me who's nearly 100% the game except for getting all teeth and stuff: Collectibles MARKED ON THE MAP FOR EASY COLLECTING WITH GUIDES. That was about the only thing left me and my friend had to do other than beat the Infected Broodmother, just collecting all the teeth and raw science around the world, so now that won't be as insanely hard anymore. Thank you Obsidian, for consistently improving your game

I think this idea for the game is perfect! But as of release of this update you can't make things like pools of water or your own trees in your custom back yard but at the moment your own custom koi pond isn't possible and making trees will take you huge amounts time working on it, with the time and practice of the people making things with this update many will learn how to make incredible custom backyards and that would be amazing for the community, and with time this system will probably get bigger and better giving even more possibility.

This game has exploded since day one release. I played it when they just released an early access and had fun. Then I set it down for a while and just recently got back. It's mind-blowing how much it's changed. Keep the good stuff coming. Split screen would be awesome, I can have my grandson play with me.

Some things we can add to the game: 1. Roll/Dodge Mechanic 2. More robust pet system like intimacy where you can have more interactions with your pet to make worthwhile and maybe they can help during combat too by making sounds when enemy is about to attack and also, more rare pets like scarabs and maybe even a orb weaver jr would be dope! 3. A more robust transport system for high tier creatures, like taming a moth and making it live in your base and then when you need a transport you can ride on her back and drop you there and see her return back to your base. I feel like they are a beauty and would be a waste if we can't see her living on our base. Oh and I like Black Ox Beetles too!

I played the update, and as someone who really enjoys the creative toolsets in games. I'm a little disappointed, but I understand there are probably technical limitations! You can't place or edit any of the big props (shed, tree, bushes, castle, pagoda, large landscapes elements, cannister etc) , and the empty garden is half the size of the normal backyard. No ability to add ant hills, labs, tunnels, ponds, gas, etc. No way to change the terrain or edit what's already there (unless it's small props). There's some QoL stuff missing too, like the ability to brush delete, instead you have to delete one by one. The gnat is very slow even at max speed, it takes a long time to cross the yard. You can't scale props, so if you want to make your own tree you would have to make it out of many many small roots. etc. Logic is a really nice addition, and can open and lock doors, make traps. It seems focused on mostly aesthetics. I'd still like to see an elevator though! This update seems heavily geared towards creating contained experiences. Missions, minigames, etc. Rather than whole new maps to play through the game with. Personally I would love to make or play the game through a whole new backyard. I'm not that interested in gathering my friends together just to play basketball or minigames. I adore Grounded and I am really glad there's still content being developed for it! I wish this update added a bit more from what was already there?

Please add a system to the Grounded game that allows us to domesticate live bugs. This would be a great way to add more content to the game and give players a new way to interact with the world. Players could collect different types of bugs and train them to perform tasks, such as gathering resources or fighting enemies. This would add a new layer of depth and complexity to the game.

It would be cool if they could make a whole new backyard (hear me out) it’s like a whole new story new characters and backyard that you can experience a new story different bosses and obviously the same objective. To eventually grow big again, make it almost like a dlc $15-$30 to get it (I also understand that’s not easy so it would take time but it would give ppl more of a reason to comeback and play again)

I really hope they make a second game it's one of those games that even if you played it, you'll return to play it again even after years it's been out. It is a very rare gem indeed to progress in the franchise. Adding a more in-depth story of omni, maybe the next one will be indoors or with more insects to fight. I really hope they didn't throw the idea out the window.

Just started a new game. I already loved this game before, but I can already tell it's a lot better now. The only thing that seems weird is how the running is toggled. I seem to be always running when I'm not even trying to run, and my stamina gets drained quickly. It's almost like running is the default and I have to push the stick to walk (opposite of normal)

I think you may have hit the auto run feature.. Running is not toggled by default, check your settings just incase

update is cool, but as an adventure gamer, I expected changes to be introduced in the story mode, such as level 4 tools and weapons, new worms, or another laboratory with a super chip. I hope in the next update you will focus on story things
