I very recently beat conquest. honestly, (as long as you don't play phoenix mode) if you wanna beat conquest even on normal difficulty you're gonna have to either have played a different fire emblem before or have knowledge of the usefulness of at least some of the units prior to playing it, since you're pretty much fucked late-game if you invested the limited EXP into the wrong units.
