NEW TAS HERE: • [TAS] Celeste Spring C...
This is an updated TAS of Spring Collab 2020 (found here: gamebanana.com.... This update was primarily created by myself, Tyran, and Marlin, with help from abiteofdata, aleph_null, Cuberstache, cake, exopta, Kirbz, lmjacks, nebs, OwenPG, pansear, TheRoboMan, Vamp, and Vasher and Hane on some superdash levels.
The previous TAS was created by: Algorythm, dahlukeh, Dannnn, euni, Gliperal, Kataiser, Lanvilla, Lmjacks, Marlin, Masrock9, mlseg, nebs, RichConnerGMN, sashabell, Squeal, TheRoboMan, tluo5458, truegen, Tyran, Vamp, Vitellary, and Wafer.
In total, this is a 3 minute and 18 second improvement (11681 frames) to the old TAS. However, compared to last time, Grandmaster Heartside received a rework. This adds 3 minutes to the TAS, so the final time leaves this TAS being 18.3 seconds (1080 frames) faster than the old TAS.
Other noteworthy changes are the 1.4 patch for Celeste, many bug fixes and level tweaks, and a handful of other mod changes that saved or lost time here or there.
In general, improvements mainly came from improved strats, better optimization, and a bunch of new skips - the most significant being a trigger skip in Advanced Heartside that saves over 20 seconds. Time save was found in every single level in some capacity. This spreadsheet contains a level by level breakdown of timesaves - docs.google.co...
While a pretty significant improvement, this TAS is far from perfect. This was a project I worked on alone on and off up until the start of 2022, at which point many people began to pitch in regularly. If I had looked at every level extensively and tried tiny optimizations to every screen, this TAS never would've been finished. With SJ around the corner and personal burnout, I figured it would be best to put this out as a bit of a stopping point. If anyone wants to continue looking at this TAS, go for it! Another 2-3 minutes being dropped off this TAS would not surprise me at all.

Thanks as well to max480 and Lilium for some help with getting this TAS syncing and keeping SC2020 updated and bug-free. Thanks to Marlin for recording and Msushi for the thumbnail.
Lastly, thanks to DemoJameson for TAS tools and all he has done for the community - this run would not be possible without his contributions and it's hard to imagine the place the game would be in today.
