*Rough Description* #1 (00:01) - Midscreen re-jump combo. Also shows that you can connect SD after a j.S midscreen, but note that j.S needs to hit on the lower end of the dummy’s hurtbox for there to be enough extra frame advantage for SD to connect (same principle as A18’s midscreen ki blast loop). It might not work on some characters for this reason. #2 (00:17) - Ordinary corner combo. Frieza’s assist is to show that even if you do not have a tackle or beam assist, a blast assist can also allow you to continue with a ground string if timed well. If hitstun permits (depending on your combo starter), you can use M rekka strings for slightly higher damage. #3 (00:32) - Cross-under using rekka. If Blitz Charge and the assist are used at the same time, the dummy would be pushed to the opposite side after Blitz Charge. Janemba’s assist allows for easy follow-up with a ground string. You can also combo off an assist like VegetaBlue’s or Cell’s. Unfortunately GokuBlue’s assist would whiff if used at the same time as Blitz Charge; you call GokuBlue’s assist after Blitz Charge for extension but it would not result in a side switch. #4 (00:49) - Corner solo Sparking combo off 2H, showing a ki blast loop route. Note that each j.[S] after 5H is from a backward jump cancel. Also when 5H connects, the dummy needs to be in front of A17 instead of above (you can easily notice the difference as A17 would be very close to the wall if 5H connected with the dummy directly above him). You can adjust this by slightly delaying 5H after the 5S upon landing. Every use of j.[S] in Sparking builds about 0.75 bar, giving A17 ridiculous meter gain. This particular combo builds almost 6 bars. Even if you do not have Power Blitz charged and have to end the air string with j.H before Vanish, you can still get more than 5 bars. This gives A17 enough meter to use empty Vanish and regain corner position. #5 (01:13) - Showing a use of the wall jump midscreen. The move itself is really restricted as there is no way to cancel the movement before touching a wall (or lands without touching a wall at all), plus there is landing delay after j.M. #6 (01:28) - Vanish whiff combo. By whiffing that rekka-2M before rekka-5M-6M, you can buffer Vanish and it would automatically whiff. #7 (01:50) - The barrier hit is absorbed by Broly’s armor, but it is still counted in the combo (even though the health bar implies a reset). See this for damage reference: twitter.com/yxiao1988/status/1187933662517460994?s=20 Also underneath that tweet Lou (twitter.com/JustSlaythe/status/1188097336196685830?s=20 ) showed a team 100% combo off a punish from rekka-5L/5M #8 (02:23) - Solo corner sparking combo off rekka-5L. Showed how you can extend beyond Blitz Charge and regain corner position. If you are not confident with the ki blast loop route, you can use this instead. #9 (02:46) - Two-men 100% with Beerus, Lv.2 Sparking, started from .. I guess A17’s team 100% combos with a fully available team are quite well-known now, so I explored two-men options a bit. #10 (03:13) - Two-men 100% with Gogeta, Lv.2 Sparking, started from 0 bar. It is much more difficult to time Gogeta’s assist since it deals a single hit with no vacuuming effect. Regardless, this combo managed to build 6 bars and end with Gogeta’s Lv.5 (I did a forward dash before DR to build up that last bit of meter). #11 (03:50) - Double Sparking solo 100%. Without the second Spark I managed to get around 9700. The beginning part of 5M>j.H is only applicable to Janemba and Cooler.

I've said this before I'm convinced 17 has the best meter build in the game. Especially in sparking. You can easily build like 5 or 6 bars of meter. It's truly fantastic.

His wall jump is really bad for combo... He's stuck in that aerial motion until touching a wall, and any attack off the jump has landing recovery, so you have to time it really well for you to link 5L or do a re-jump, plus on solo it can only combo off rekka-5HH midscreen which isn't meter-friendly...

Just make sure you hit all 6 ki blasts (he shoots three times) and it should be very easy to connect, as long as hitstun decay permits.

I need some advice. I've been playing around with Goku Blue and Frieza for some time and I just decided to try A17. His assist does wonders for Goku Blue but other than that, I find him a little bit hard to use. Anyone willing to give me some pointers on how I should approach him and on how to play neutral with him? Thanks in advance!

Personally I think the plan is to avoid playing neutral with him as much as possible due to the lack of range of his many buttons. He does have regular ki blast on the ground (which is good), but his options in the air without charged Power Blitz is kind of limited. Try to create pressure situations on the ground to open up the opponent with mid/low rekkas or punish mashers with that backstep. Watch some of AxeIce's match footage to get a sense of his gameplay. @Ken_Deep and @IamC4IQ on Twitter are also very knowledgeable about him.
