Awesome video! You put a lot into this one! I was a Corolla mispronounced offender for a long time as well! My bonus tip, eat at Pigman’s BBQ at least once while you’re there!! Duck Donuts is awesome as well!
@fatherandsonsfishing3 жыл бұрын
And that is a great bonus tip, Kyle! So here is the funny story about Pigman's in this video... On the very last place (Nags Head Woods Preserve), my bonus tip was basically how to find it. One of the roads I mentioned, Ocean Acres Drive, is the road Pigman's is on. I originally said that in the video, but then took that part out since I hadn't mentioned any other specific restaurants or businesses, lol.

Some very informative tips. Now I wish you gave a tip on how a dairy farmer could get away from the farm long enough to visit the Outer Banks 😂

As someone who has long and unpredictable hours, at least I have control over my schedule if I plan in advance. I'm pretty sure you don't have that luxury. 😬🐄 That said, I'm still trying to figure out how I can work remotely and perhaps if I can figure it out, you could apply some of those same principles?💁♂️

Looks like sooo much good stuff there!! I’ve got to put together a trip to come up there and stay a few days, and the Driving permit is a must!🤣 I have always wanted to be able to drive right up to my surf fishing spot!!🎣🎣 Great Video Brother!!
@fatherandsonsfishing3 жыл бұрын
Be careful, once you drive up to your spot you're never going to want to surf fish any other way! Driving on the beach is an awesome way to explore and it's so great to have your truck right there with all your gear!

Great video Randy. Lots of cool stuff to do down on the OBX, one of these days Karen and I will definitely have to check it out. One of Karen’s brothers lives on the coast right near the NC / SC border. Question so I don’t have to Google it : are there any RV camp Grounds on the OBX ?
@fatherandsonsfishing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Don! Yes, there are RV campgrounds. I'd have to look it up to see if they all allow RV's, but I've camped at a few with the boys and have seen RV's and there's a couple more I've driven by where I recall seeing RV's. If y'all ever make the trip to see Karen's brother, you should DEFINITELY stop by the OBX. I know a guy who would be happy to put you up (he accepts RV's too) and show you around...

Awesome video. The family and I will be down for the week of june 28th for the first time ever. Staying in kills devils hills. Planning on do almost everything you mentioned in the video. But any tips on finding the most remote beach to beat the crowds?
@fatherandsonsfishing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Easily your best bet is to go to Ocracoke Island. From Kill Devil Hills, it's an hour+ drive and then you have a 45 minute ferry ride for which you may need to wait for. So needless to say, this is going to be an all-day trip, but it will be worth it if you do it. Another way to get some remote beach time without the travel and time commitment is to head south on Route 12. After you get south of Nags Head you'll be in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and aside from a few towns here and there, it's totally undeveloped. If you have a beach driving permit you can pull off on any of the beach ramps on your left. If you don't have a driving permit, they have parking spaces. I would recommend going through Rodanthe and just a little south of there, there are several places where you can go and it will be very remote. It's probably a 30-40 minute drive from where you are staying. Have a good trip!

Thanks alot. 👍 one more thing do you recommend a tackle shop? Somewhere I can get lisense, tackle,bait, and a crab trap?

@@chase72094 TW’s Bait and Tackle. There is one in Kitty Hawk and one in Nags Head, both are close to Kill Devil Hills.
