PLEASE NOTE: the Intended purpose of this video is to share my experience this year with 3 methods of colour feeding finches commonly used throughout the hobby. Each method works in its own right, all 3 products do their intended purpose. Use this video as a guidance, which demonstrates my preference. This video is NOT for the promotion of Caraphyll red, nor does NOT condone the uses of other products such as Can-Tax or basic red egg food - this is at the viewers discretion to make a judgment as all 3 products work as they should. This is only sharing my experience this year with each method.

Great information on the comparisons in the color food.

Great show lad. This is very very useful information, especially your results on the red eggfood. Always wondered about the efficacy of it, given that birds typically only take in a little of it. My preferred method is to "pepper" the carophyll red on the egg food or sprouted seed. Perhaps as you say, combination of the 2. Thanks a ton for sharing.

Just an idea which I've never tried actually, but you could also give your birds perle morbid that has been soaked with water in which the carophyll has been dissolved. I have to say that in the past I have had good results with canthaxine for coloring, for example, my black hooded red siskin hybrids. I started that right from hatching until the moult is over. It is no longer useful to start with color food when the birds are half moulting. I have never colored my goldfinches before, giving wild herbs such as evening primrose and chickweed during the moult works just as well because they contain the natural carotenes that provide a nice red color.

Hi Oliver Great video as always. Just in your strength of caro. In keeping reds and colour canary’s for a few years now when using in the water I found 3g per 2 litre of water just about the right mix. I have since changed the last few years to feeding through the egg food as it keeps the cages a lot cleaner. Keep up the great work.👍👍 Niall.

Are you thinking of comparing foods for males to have them the best singing voice? Have you shown your best singers and for us to hear them? Have you had ribbons for the best singer?

why are you not trimming their nails? They are overrgrown and can cause many problems.
