You can also mix the cantaxin or carophyll into your egg food mix yourself, usually 1 gram per kilo. Also works well. The disadvantages of coloring the birds through the water is that at some point the entire cage will be covered with red splashes because birds are generally quite messy. And stop feeding color as soon as the moult is over, the feathers will hardly absorb it and it is actually not good for the liver of the birds. You can just bathe them in warm food coloring and they will turn the color you put them in. People can eat food coloring so it's harmless

I don't like using artificial products for my food or my birds. So I make all my own eggs food and don't use commercial egg food or any vitamin supplements. It use eggs from my own chickens to make egg food, with organic vegetables. I don't see a need to add vitamins if they have a varied diet. I also feed sprouted seeds, pulses and legumes etc. Do you think there is a way to colour feed the birds naturally? Perhaps feeding carrots and red coloured berries, beetroot etc?

carophyll red have 10% canthaxanthin. can-tax have 5% canthaxanthin. Red eggfood have nothing, only color.
