Is this the night vision camera that took a picture of the zombies ripping the soldier to pieces

Did you use the ground strap (aka "earth wire")? If so how did you use it? I plan to install my 423 on a 4x4 post under large tree. Wondering if I need to install ground strap / ground there. Thanks.

How to install a mic to get sound?

Hi, great review. I'm using Reolink C2Pros, over ethernet, at night in color and without LEDs. Our street lighting has just been reduced in brightness, so I need sometihng more sensitive. Any idea how this camera compares in my specific setup (without this cameras spotlight)?

Thanks for the review. Can the 423 aim straight down to record someone directly below it? I assume it can since it has 90 degrees vertical movement. I think the new 823 can also do this. I heard the 823 has auto tracking, but I don't know if its both horizontal and vertical. I bought a new E1 Outdoor. I like it. It has auto tracking left/right horizontal. It does great tracking someone walking across the sidewalk. But it won't follow the person when they walk toward/away from the lens because it cannot vertical track. It has 50 degree vertical view. It can go down to about 5 o'clock. The reason I want a camera to look 90 degrees down is because I want to mount it on the corner of my garage and have it look down where people walk to my front door.

Yes, the 423 can look straight down. I’m testing the 823 right now so you should see the review for that one soon. As far as the tracking on the 823, I need to spend some more time with it to give you an accurate answer.

@@overclockersclub Thanks much. I emailed Reolink yesterday about the 823A auto tracking. Got a response this morning. Their rep. said the 823A only tracks horizontally. The reason is it's not as safe with the camera following all the way down since it might miss and event higher in the field of view. I thought this was a little lame. I'd prefer a camera follow the person below the cam also. The rep. may be wrong as sometimes reps. are not fully informed. If the the 823A cannot track both horizontally and vertically I likely won't buy it. I look forward to your 823A review.

What do you need a network cable for, if the power supply via PoE is possible?
@overclockersclub2 жыл бұрын
I am not sure what you are asking - PoE (Power over Ethernet) uses one ethernet cable to carry power and data.

@@overclockersclub Thanks for your answer ! My question is: why is this camera delivered with a net cable for power supply, if the power supply is possible via PoE. Why do you need two power supplies?

Do you have a link to a network cable and extension coupler suitable for this camera. I asked reolink for a link to a suitable one but they sent techinical details on what wires go where. I am not making one!

I am not sure what you mean - any Cat5e or Cat6 cable will work providing you have a PoE capable switch or injector.

@@overclockersclub I got the camera along with one of the 4 camera systems. The suystem comes with 18m cables but where 2 of my cameras are going I need more length than that so will have to join 2 network cables together. I just want to make sure I buy the correct cables and connector/adapter
@overclockersclub3 жыл бұрын
@@djderek1971 OK, I see. Well typically you want to avoid an interrupted connection, so it is better to run with one long cable rather than joining two shorter cables. Ethernet cables are not expensive so I would recommend going with a cable that is the proper length for where you want to mount the camera.

@@overclockersclub That is helpful, thankyou. I just wasnt sure about which cable was suitable but someone has provided a link for me.

No, But I believe there’s another model similar to this that should have that functionality later this year
