I’ve spent a ton of money on tool belts and bags, I gotta say the $9 bucket boss “organizer pouch” is the best small pouch I’ve found. It has elastic dividers, a full size square fits perfectly, and it’s really FLAT against your body. Also the “flap fit” makes it super easy to take on and off belts without having to undo everything. I’ll look for a link

You keep your bags light. I tend to carry too many tools. Do you keep a pair of end cutters for pulling nails or a small flat bar? I can’t live without those 2 tools when I’m doing any kind of trim work.

Yah I have a pair of channel lock roll over pliers and a trim bar that I certainly use when trimming they tend to hop in and out of my bags . I try to stay as light as I can and just keep stuff in a tool bag on site and grab stuff when I need it . I hate having a ton of weight around my waist .

With the wear you have, they tend to have a good warranty on their belts, and they will fix stuff like that.

Nice! Akibus they are Canadian right? Yah I get that I will say this is the stuff that lives in my belt I certainly have task oriented item that stay with me if I’m doing certain things . Ex. If I’m capping a window I’ll have snips or usually when trimming I carry a small bar and nail pullers .

@@kinfolk_carpentry oh I figured you hv your set ups like for craftsman trim , or like what you did in the video where you re-created the head pieces on those doors or running base. I hv to say I do like you light Diamond back set up ? The issues I hv with them all not just DB but Badger ect.,. ? They are basically cloth grant it ballistic Nylon but still ? So I am older and over time learned “you do get what you paid for ! If you know what you are buying”! I bought these bags after watching my Dad who was a pro Carpenter/Contractor wearing Occidental framers bags. I hv those bags which I wore for 5 on top of the 35 he wore them! So I purchased Akibus bags 2 yrs ago and they are just so nice and look nice! They R Canadian ; & Luke was easy to work with ! $600 but that’s it these bags will go to my grandson or son? Who picks up a hammer and starts 1st!!!! Now those occ finisher set are great ! But where are they starting to fail? Anyway brother great channel keep the videos focused toward pro carpenters and doors, base , crown, kitchen crown (that is where my issues are, cabinets, built ins ect.,. Plus one more big issue : The know it all critical customer!!! I recently got asked to leave a job after completing 90% ? Why ? Kitchen Crown! And I let the guy ramble on the said ; “ your right looks terrible” ? But ? It’s not up? It’s only Pinned ! (Honestly he was shocked but in over his ski’s & could not understand). So I left ! 14 yrs it happened twice! U gotta tell some difficult customer stories !!!

I had a set of occidental framers the adjust to fit ones I used them for 5 years or so I liked them but I like the weight difference going to nylon over leather. But I get what your saying there is something romantic about a leather tool belt . I have the occidental tool carrier 5588 stronghold I think it is. And I love it it’s such and old school nostalgic way to carry to hand tools I’ll have to do a video on that some day .
