Moonchild inspired a lot of Mark Frost's ideas. So it's interesting that you mentioned the Lodges and the girl of such goodness (Part 8) who the Black Lodge wants to corrupt.

I can 100% see that. In Moonchild too the name of the other head of the Black Lodge is Annie which I found interesting… I’ve been rewatching Twin Peaks and just finished season 2. Gonna watch Fire Walk With Me and then the Return. 🦉☕️🍒🥧

I love the Ghost Hunter book. It is in a way being a detective. I think it's cool his parents supported that as well. My parents as well would never XD But I love watching ghost hunting videos and urban exploration of haunted sites ( from the safety of my computer lol). So creepy. I bet George Hodel's home was both interesting and terrifying to investigate.

That was his name! Hodel. Yeah it was a weird investigation to be sure.

Great video! The only time I have ever heard Alister Crowley mentioned before is in a Ozzy Osbourne song, can't remember the name. I had a great time with The Devil Rides Out which actually does reference Crowley. Warlock Holmes sounds very entertaining. I'm also very excited to read Whalefall this year, sounds really crazy. Happy Reading!🎃🎃🎃

Thanks Cliff! I haven’t heard of The Devil Rides Out I’ll have to look that one up. Warlock Holmes is great it’s weird, wacky, humorous, and delightfully deranged. ☺️📚

Just finished Rivers of London, which was so much fun. Starting A Master of Djinn... which seems to have been overlooked, but is definitely an occult detective novel, IMO. I mean, sure, it's steampunk. But the lead character is literally an agent of the Ministry of Alchemy, Enchantments and Supernatural Entities. And there's lots of fun occult elements. (I read one of the prequel stories--A Dead Djinn in Cairo, for shorty September and *LOVED* it.)

I'm reading Horror all year round, so nothing different this month 😊 I began to read Slade House by David Mitchell, which is awesome so far. But the main book I'm reading is The Dark Forest by Cixin Liu, second book of the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy. Next up will be Negative Space by B.R. Yeager.

Same here, Slade House sounds very mysterious. I like the premise.☺️📚
