It's easy for me and other to say that you shouldn't be so hard on yourself and that your doing a great job and producing great content. It would be impossible for anyone to understand the level of effort, energy, and stress that would go with content creation. But I hope you get/feel appreciated and respected for your time and efforts. Thanks for the content, entertainment, and most importantly the knowledge and inspiration/motivation you bring. Keep it up and thank you

SARAH, SARAH, SARAH (my mom always said my name three times when I was going to get yelled at) Those of us that watch your video's don't watch them to watch a bolt be removed. We watch them for banter and humor of a quirky Amazon and her Hobbit Room Mate. Your channel is NOT ABOUT watching you flip cars 2 per week. This is not Monster Garage. This is enjoying a couple of moments forgetting about our lives and enjoying your intelligence, dedication, and problem solving. We love the rolling intro's, we live for the innuendo's and hearing about the taco you had for lunch (not hearing "FROM" the taco, about the taco). The channel is about you and your passion. Cars and wrenches are just the muffin top of the cupcake. Life is not about "logistics" but the road traveled and the beauty of the drive. When you reach the destination, your time is up and you get a bunch of guys shooting rifles in the air 21 times. I like the Sarah that is on this channel. She is a wonderful sunbeam in this grey world. And all of Minnesota said "We Luv Ya, don't cha know" You are cleared for take off, fly runway heading, unrestricted climb approved to FL 450.

Don’t worry about not getting track day videos and the like. The automotive hobby is about spinning wrenches and building out cars and I’ve enjoyed every minute of your projects. It’s awesome to see someone as passionate about the hobby as you are and I think you’re an awesome example to every girl who is into cars. I know that somewhere there is a young girl who’s inspired by you to pursue a hobby she thinks only boys do. I have a 12 y/o daughter and I think your a great example of pursuing what you love no matter what others think.

It's so easy to get burned out when you have so much to do and keep a tight schedule. You're appreciated, your videos are very entertaining and I hope all your viewers feel the same. Take care of you, first. Oh, and I'd keep the brakes the same and do a big brake upgrade later on. It seems like a whole lot of money for little benefit to go with the Turbo brakes.

Sarah, you are doing great. Remember this is just entertainment for your viewers, and the entertainment is whatever is going on in your head that you allow on camera. If you're not entertained, we're not going to be as well, and that's ok, everyone here is subscribed to multiple channels - we have selection. Don't be hard on yourself. Maybe pull yourself away every now and then from the car content, take us with you to a midnight grocery store trip while your sleepy and delirious, a diy home repair etc. I don't think (?) everyone including me are die hard tt or mr2 fans, however, I am a fan of your entertaining personality and so it doesn't matter what you're working on. Try to keep having fun and stop and rest when it's not. We will all still be here.

You inspired me to take work on so much more than I was willing to try in the past. I’ve done a lot of work to my bike since watching you and I’ve gone back to showing my poor car, more love with cleaning & maintenance work, I’ve been putting off. To put it in storage to fix what you think needs to be fixed isn’t practical. The car is not as bad as you think. It’s safe and will make someone a great daily drive. Don’t paint it or wrap it. Put it together and sell it to someone who will enjoy it. My $0.02. Try selling it on BaT!

Sarah you're doing a great job! Real cars at a real pace, overcoming real problems as they happen just like us at home watching this type of channel. Much better to watch rather than some channels spending unreal amounts of cash on exotic Lambos etc. Keep it up, loving it from the UK. With regard to the brakes try the disc, pad and fluids you suggest but I would also do braded hoses as they really help and can still be used if you end up going big brakes. Good luck :-)

Factory brakes are good on that thing, really isn't worth the upgrade since it's not going to be a dedicated track car. Go with the slotted rotors to up that initial bite, and some pads that match your fingernails, you'll be happy with it.
@exophthalmos15 жыл бұрын
Dave slotted rotors dont “up that initial bite”.. know what you are talking about before making a claim.
@Dave-fx5zw5 жыл бұрын
@@exophthalmos1 I do know well of what I speak. Slotted rotors increase initial bite significantly, to keep it simple, think of running your finger over a smooth vs a grooved surface, the grooves will 'catch' your finger. The slots have an edge that, at a level of the very small, will scrape into the pad, obviously the pad does not deform as much as your fleshy digits, but it is not perfectly rigid either. Same basic reason that if you sand a squared block over it's edge, the edge will have more wear than the flat. I assume you're implying slots aid in evacuation of gasses from the pads, a lot of manufacturers do still state this, however this hasn't been an issue with pads for many years, modern brake pads don't degas the way old asbestos pads did. There is a slight loss of overall static friction levels between slotted and plain rotors, as the slots do reduce surface area, but static friction doesn't much matter when talking about a spinning disk. Or am I missing something that you feel like adding?
@phillipjohnson5125 жыл бұрын
Awesome reply Dave. Was thinking the same.👍
@Zadnak15 жыл бұрын
This is partially true, but you don't want initial bite, you want high torque. Otherwise the brakes modulate like garbage.
@Dave-fx5zw5 жыл бұрын
@@Zadnak1 I wouldn't go as far as to say you don't want initial bite, but yeah, there's a lot more to it. There's obviously no sense in a setup that will stop the rotor spinning quicker than the rubber can handle. Higher bite will usually feel better, but takes a better (more n-tuned driver at least) to not lock up the wheels on application, but will allow better weight transfer to the front so it will load up quicker. Some people like heavy pedal pressure, more travel to modulate and more progressive weight transfer, personally I prefer less travel to get the weight where you want it, and modulate from the ankle, not the hip. Both ways can produce the same result, it's really a matter of preference and driving style, I don't know what Sarah prefers, but she's told us before that she likes things stiff.
@1974UTuber5 жыл бұрын
Sarah please dont change. Love your format and love your OCD aproach to everything you do. I wish I was as good with my attention to detail on the things I do.
