Great footage. A gorgeous sunshiny California day and these drone shots capture the depth, width, the incredible ENORMITY of the line-up at this colossal break. The surfers at this spot are super-sized. Well done!

This is much bigger than it looks..this is why you don’t see more people in the line-up. Also the paddle out is BRUTAL …usually there are other mixed swells and it’s not so clean and off shore. You surf the city on days like this you can surf anywhere anytime ..

Dude I was out there with my boys in 2019 and we checked it,it was big! We said F that and drove down to Santa Cruz to surf more resonable and hospitable waves Lmfaooo! OB is not for the faint or weak of heart for sure! Props to the Locals that Surf this on the regular! Love from Ft. Pierce Florida everyone! Yeew 😎🤙 PS. Your water is F-ing freezing to us! Even in summer Lmfaooooo Respect

large clean barrels on a foggy wild day..Easy to paddle out in between large sets, but the monster size limits the crowds.

wow, this day was fun. I saw a drone out at OB yesterday 1.27 and was wondering if it was you. Had this one left where there was a drone, where you taking shots yesterday afternoon?

how far is the wave from shore when it breaks? because it looks farrr out.
@boring3d11 ай бұрын
It's not close. Looking at the flight logs it's about 1600ft / 500m or about 1/4 mile / 1/2 kilometer out. The bigger it is the further out it breaks. There are also sets that break miles out on the biggest days but I've only heard rumors of anyone surfing those.

Surfing OB is not like your paper thin Aussie break, Mate. Even making the paddle is massive.

For sure, That was only from a single 20 minute flight. It was breaking like that for a few days. So many great rides in pictures and videos everyone is posting.

Sure, sure bud. In reality your weak Aussie arms wouldn't even paddle you out to the break. You have no idea what monster Ocean Beach is on a day like this and how hard it is to just get there. Come over and try it if you think that you're up to it. But carefully. Don't get injured.

@@TohaBgood2 I like the solid days at Ocean Beach. Let's enjoy a session this winter once it gets good again.
@finsdotsurf11 ай бұрын
@@TohaBgood2 Tough talk aside, I'm serious. I may be good enough a surfer to enjoy these kinds of waves but more importantly I've made better fins for myself and it makes heavy stuff like this even easier to enjoy, plus you ca hit flight lines on my setup since my fins have wings as well. Let's have a friendly showdown sometime this winter, we've got an El Niño brewing it's gonna be island style around here. The contact page on my site works, get in touch let's make some tube time happen.
