Ocean Drum Solo

Watch my solo and demonstration of the Ocean Drum! It was originally a children's toy until it was rediscovered by acclaimed percussionist, Jamey Haddad. When in upright / lap position, it is a little drumkit in the palm of your hand. A modern frame drum with beads inside, it can create the 'kick,' 'snare,' 'crash' and 'shaker/hi-hat' sounds. It is also used by children and adults alike to create the soothing sound of the 'ocean' by slowly shifting it back and forth in the horizontal position.

So - which ocean/rain drum do suggest? ALL other vids limit to moving the BB’s around I’m a drummer so need to do what YOU do with them. ❤

good technique, did you put electrical tape on the playing surface to dampen it?
