When you drop your lure to the bottom, try to keep it in the area where it says "Movement in the bottom layer". That means you are near the bottom and you will get a better bite rate.

When you go to a hole, go to the center. That way you stay in the fish longer until the current pushes you over the edge. Drop your lure all the way to the bottom, then reel up until you are just above the bottom. Don't trust the fish finder. It just lets you know fish are in the area. It does not represent actual fish according to the devs. Green, yellow and orange lure works well. Red lure works well too.

The fish finder shows the depth they are at too. Also size, and population density. Of course it doesn't show actual fish, as they only spawn in based on every factor the moment before they bite/

Unless you're trying to fish a specific midwater depth, then getting your lure on the bottom where the sonar saw those fish is best. Let it drop and keep it where the notification says "movement on the bottom layer", you want to see both that notification and the pirking notification at the same time, if you are pirk fishing the bottom. Also, use strong pirking instead of just pirking. Try both to see what you get. You'll have a lot better success if you adjust a few techniques like that. Also, remember to set the hook properly at the start by using left ctrl + right click. Increase hook size to have better chance of landing bigger fish too, and don't reel in if the fish is pulling line out. Keep the tension high, but don't reel when it's really running. Also, look up, don't use right click to lift the rod, just look at the horizon, this lifts the rod in a way that helps fight the fish, without adding strain.

The sonar wont always show you what's under the boat. It refreshes constantly even when stationary, and moves old data towards the left of the screen, at a rate that represents trolling speed. kinda confusing at first, but not much point in checking it while fishing, only when driving to search for fish. When you find them, drive over the spot 30m or so, then cast behind the boat and pirk it back in.

you can take the 5 day (or 5hr irl) tour, everything included, no matter what level you are but it costs either 1400 silver or 0.95 gold. You're allowed a total of 3 tours, so 15 game days at Norway. Do a bit of research before you do the tour and you should make 800-1k silver or so per tour, and a lot of xp.

You can purchase the 5 day trip for a small amount of gold. You can be level 1 and still fish there if you purchase the 5 day trip. But you can only purchase it 3 times. It comes with a 5-day boat ticket, rod and reel, and a bunch of lures. Be sure to plan your trip first before buying it. Watch videos and put together a game plan so you can maximize your time there. It is great for low level fisherman because you can get a ton of silver and xp.

By the way, you don't get to keep any of the equipment you use during the trip and once the trip is over you won't be able to go back to the Norwegian Sea unless you buy another 5-day trip or reach the minimum level.

@@thehollics7067 yea well i went there and 2 days have passed and about 10 fish now before im gonna go again in thr game im gonna carefully watch some spots cus i was just lost no fish at any of the spots that videos showd
