If you can add fish fillets to your lure, I highly recommend it. It will increase your bite rate. Small saithe fillets or saithe strips work well. Also, the boat at the Norwegian Sea does not have an anchor.

the blue whiting trophy was only about 50 or 60 silver from memory, the whiting you threw back may have been worth more.. Pains me to see anyone throw back fish for the sake of xp as silver is far harder to get and far more imprtant than xp, but we've probably all done it from time to time, certainly when very close to level up.

Congrats on the trophy blue whiting. Trophy fish are worth considerable more silver. Rarity also increases the amount of silver. You would be surprised how much silver you can get for a small, rare trophy. I got 600 silver for a trophy sevan trout that weighed over 11 kilos.
