Great detail and thoughtful analysis The on-water scene shots were perfectly timed with the comments. Thanks so much. I learned a lot. (And I now have a Rise 10m). 😊

Agree with ur review man! The loops are too easy and so much fun!! . I can add that the extra expense is also appreciated when nuked. I have had the 10m out in 30-40 knots and it doesn’t flutter or budge. Still comfy throwing loops on those winds on 10m since it is so stable! Def a confidence booster. Also, not a beginner kite AT ALL. Relaunch is not like other kites these days. And the speed the kite turns with is also not for newbs. Cheers

Great review. Lots to process. It sounds like this is a try-before-you-buy kite for many of us.

It’s for sure a specialist kite. Some of the crew wondered why I didn’t include more tricks in this review. And my response was, the kite is spectacular for loops and genuinely difficult for my regular riding style. Definitely worth a demo unless you are a big air frother. Then I think it’s a no brainer for someone who wants to get to a competitive loop level. I’m actually a huge fan of specialized gear if your focused on a specific discipline. The loops are just amazing on this one. - Rygo

Hi Rygo! Excellent video as always! Becouse of you video i had 17,flight 14,10 m Roam Aluula Ocen Rodeo now. 90 % for hydrofoiling. And this kites are really amazing. My question is hiw about hydrofoiling with Rise? I am looking for small kite for strong gusty condition. I can hydrofoiling with 10 m Aluula Roam up to 18 -19 knots. So what do you think about 7 m Rice for hydrofoiling with jump and looping in a range after 20-25 knots? My weiis about 110 kg.

@@hshshshshshssh dude, I've not received it yet but I'm still super excited. I ended up moving away from wind for the past few months. I think Giel loops his 12m all the time in videos.

@@toddhorn3445 I learned to loop (down loop & heli loop) on a 17m OR flite. With Allulla, looping 17m is easy. Now it's time to learn the more powered mega loop - so I just ordered the 9M rise.

For learning loops its better to use freeride 3 strut kite instead of big air kite IMHO. I'm have just switched from XR6 to Evo and difference is massive.
@corpuskiter
@corpuskiter 2 жыл бұрын
Xr is worst looping kite. Evo is much better. Rise loops even faster and better than Evo though. I have 10m Evo SLS and Rise. The catch and climb on the Rise is faster n way better. But the Evo has lighter bar pressure. Rise also takes up to 12 psi. Evo says 7…. Eye roll.

@@corpuskiter Interesting observation. I currently have a 17M flite, and then Xr for 13.5 and 11M. Looping is easier on my 17M, but I always thought it was because the bar for my Xr's is considerably smaller. Maybe it's actually more about the kite. I'm getting the sense that OR (with Allulla) loops way better than other kites. Why do you think the Xr is the 'worst looping' kite? I assumed that the slower turning speed was just due to the smallish bar i have for it.
@corpuskiter
@corpuskiter Жыл бұрын
@@aaronpetruski6227I was referring to powered loops. Nobody power looping those big pigs ur talking about. But xr is notoriously horrible for power loops. Xr8 better. Xr pro prolly best. Cheers 🍻

I've been riding 10M Rise for about 6 months now. Haven't tried to unhook with it. Curious about the 12M Rise. Do I dare? $3300+ is a lot of money. How well will the 12M Rise do unhooking and freeriding?
@MACkiteboarding
@MACkiteboarding 2 жыл бұрын
Shoot. I wish I had tested that. It might be okay for unhooked riding but probably won’t be great. For freeride it’s excellent but needs to be rode powered. Also, it is almost too easy too loop so it’s for sure aimed at intermediate riders. I stand by that this a loop specialist. For intermediate or pro riders who want an edge and a kite that can be overpowered. 100 percent a unique tool made to excel in loop competition or training for loops. I’d love to hear you feedback! - Rygo

@@MACkiteboarding nope. happy owner of a Rise Range. Incredible Kite for Loops, even easy Loop Beginner Kite (easy Catch, low needed height) but also in 30-40 knots for going really huge and feel safe at the same time.

How does the Rise measure up to the North Orbit, anyone tried both?
@MACkiteboarding
@MACkiteboarding 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anders, you'll want to get the rise 1-2m larger for the same wind. It likes to be ridden really well powered and have a lot of forward pull rather than that grunty style lift. The Rise is notably faster flying and turning so it almost feels like a kite 2m smaller anyway. -Tucker

@MACkiteboarding

If your main game is kiteloops yes. I had a long conversation with Tucker today about how the material supports the frame and allows for this crazy design. I’m still on the fence about the wild cost of materials but if it supports this kind of performance that can’t be achieved with Dacron, it is. - Rygo

It loops better. Has more direct bar than orbit, prolly similar bar pressure but without that weird spot orbit has. It’s linear. The loops n catch are unbelievable. If u wanna jump high orbit easier, but Rise rewards skill. Both kites have insane range. Cheers
