Very nice, I admire your perseverance! Do the carbide tools work better when turning resin….. do I now have to invest in some carbide tools?.

Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes, carbide tools are pretty much required when turning resin. I normally don’t use carbide tool except for with resin. It is possible to turn resin with regular tools but you will need to sharpen about every 15 seconds. This is because standard scrapers, just like the ones for wood, tend to chip and catch. If you decide to turn resin, I recommend getting negative rake cutters. Both round and flat. You will prevent your tool from catching. Happy Turning! Let me know if you have any more questions.
