I agree with you. This sound does not feel comforting. Yet, I love going to sleep listening to heavy rain, thunder and lightning. I always hope for a storm. I grew up in the Mid West.. I grew up around lakes and ponds.. I've never seen anything like this before... But listening to storms and running from tornados you wouldn't think this would bother me...
