Hey Dire, You could also look into Industrial Foregoing at the hydroponic bed. It's quite expensive to make at your tech level right now and it requires some setups first just to be able to craft the thing. It's also pretty useless as it is, you would definitely need ether (by making a fluid laser over a wither, effectively mining it - hint: stasis chamber + compact machines). But once you do make everything it's good to go for a while, faster than anything else at this point (except maybe "vanilla" mystical agriculture growth accelerators stacked). It would be good until you have a powerpot. Also, shoutout to Jakob Pedersen - "You can make quartz dust by pulverising andesite, diorite or granite, and then put that in the enrichment chamber to make quartz that way" - his way works - but it must be the pulverizer from thermal.

Hey Dire have you thought of flattening the island? it would be useful for your future base. also Cinnabar is used in thermal machines as a Catalyst to get more resources from recipes(see Induction Smelter/Pulverizer for example).

You can make quartz dust by pulverising andesite, diorite or granite, and then put that in the enrichment chamber to make quartz that way

It makes: Cobblestone, Gravel, Sand, Silicon, Stone, Smooth Stone, Stone Bricks, Glass, and Compressed Cobblestone, Compressed Sand, and Compressed Gravel plus some more stuff i cant remember! It is the ultimate cobblestone generator, and all it takes is RF!

If you add a fluid void at the end of the cast iron pipe from the jar that makes lava, it will always keep on making lava. The automatic jar stops crafting when there is no more space.

I'm not too upset you do RF instead of AE as you were going to a few episodes back, because realistically speaking, it's a very small island for a mod like AE which requires alot of space for all the different cables alone and making sub basements is not gonna happen easily. You would have to build towers. I'm actually quite surprised you havent already leveled your island to sea level and built your infamous 9x9 block ontop of it. This time it actually would be a challange cus you'd have to build up instead of down.

Honestly 8 times out of 10 rs is just better for the way dire plays. In my experience you can do ae without even making a controller as long as you abuse sub nets...and keep in stock systems

If you run your diamond chunks through a mechanical squeezer, it will turn the chunk into 3 diamond dust, then each dust can be run through the enriching factory to turn it into a diamond. This way it turns each chunk into 3 diamonds instead of 2. Although it doesn’t work off of Other mods power and needs power from its own mod.

With nether quartz, most of the quartz blocks you get as loot can be converted to their base quartz item using the enrichment chamber. As well using Basalt -> Crushed Basalt -> Nether rack is probably the most efficient process for those derived items

Induction smelter and cinnebar is one of the best ways of getting resources out of the chunks, a diamond chunk only gives 2 diamons out of the enrichment factory, but add secondary output chance and cinebar to an induction smelter and you can get 4 or more diamonds per chunk.

so i recently started the pack today, after the first three episodes... i think you actually took the hard route for iron. because i was too impatient to attempt that, so i actually built three drippers, and fast tracked a cobble generator, after that, chop trees, make charcoal, smelt some stone, and the inbuilt hotkey lets you turn a whole stack of smooth stone into compressed, and then just let it make iron ore. 100% rate of iron, and while thats converting, i just made more sluices and have a little area i run in a circle around sluicing materials on a crap sluice, waiting for gold.

@@curty238 Try placing the auto hammer facing the other way. There is a definite input side/output side. I set it up the correct way, according to the quest text, and got nothing. I switched it around and it started working. Set up your 2 chests and place it while facing North, for example. If that doesn’t work, break it and place while facing south. This changes the input/output sides. Weirdly enough, when I broke it and placed it in another location, I actually had to switch it again to get it working.

I’d advise a Basalt generator and maybe make more sluices. Doing so would let you sieve infinite basalt and basically infinite nether rack for all those resources. Just need to set up more diamond sluices and some pipes for water

No idea how to make a basalt generator, but you can just use the stoneworks for netherrack. I fully automated the sieves after a episode 3 or so and they are working beatifully still. I wonder when he finds out that the jars stop when the tanks are full, cuz thats the only issue with the lava production so far.

@@Justfalor Basalt generation is a vanilla thing, if lava ends up adjacent to blue ice while over soul soil, the flowing lava becomes basalt. Igneous Extruders can also make it under those conditions.

Btw: You are still using the manual pump for the sieve. There is a automtic pump block from Thermal (aqua....) that needs no energy, just water on the sides. Some fluid pipez to it and you don´t need to do the manuel pumping any more.

Encouragement for mystical agriculture is through the roof. The flowers for Botania can all be produced from essence. So instead of 16 pots dedicated to Botania, you can produce them from just one botany pot using Mystical Agriculture. I also got my kelp going through mystical agriculture. I'm also using refined storage as it is easier to get into than Applied Energistics. I am currently using to wind turbines and a solar generator from Mekanism to supply all the power to my base. Given that Y= 121 at my island, you don't have to build up high to get a decent amount of power from the turbines. I do plan to dig into other forms of production later, but this will do for now. I am thinking of building down to the ocean floor (about Y=50) and starting to mine down there now that I have diving gear. Also, there are a lot of structures down there. My mob farm does not produce many mobs at this time. I suspect mobs are showing up under water and cutting down on the number that show up in the farm. I've been playing for over a month on this pack and have yet to see an Enderman, so no Ender Pearls yet. I also have no reason at this time to go to the nether. I want better armor and enchantments before I do that. Just so you know, you pointed the way for me to make some advancements I would not have otherwise thought of. Blue magma block to get high temp for jar recipes, you can use a dripper dropping lava onto a regular magma block. It takes a while, but that is one way to get to high temp recipes. I got lucky in one respect. I got slime seeds as one of my random rewards.

You should be getting blocks of quarts from the barrels, if you use tinkers, and smelt them and make a gem cast you should have plenty of quarts. Hope that was helpful.

Cinnabar used to be used for the Induction Smelter for higher yields of specific secondaries and rarer ores (gold, platinum, etc.). My knowledge is from about 1.12 though, so stuff may have changed.

Also the Induction Smelter with cinnabar gives the highest amount of diamonds.

Cinnabar can be used as a catalyst with the induction smelter (Thermal) to triple most things your sifting. It makes it a bit cheaper to get many of those things triple-processed.

You are not wrong, for in place farmland. Down side of this is that you only have a chance that you’ll get the essence you used previously back. For botany pots, you have to craft the farmland to put in in place and you can’t upgrade it that way. You have to take out the old farmland, recycle it to get your essence back. Then create new farmland and put it back in the pot.

I think the basalt route to netherrack is cheaper just a bit more effort required, could be wrong tho since I have hooked up my lava sluice to several jars with blue magma for lava production so lava isn't really a problem: try upgrading your magma heat source to the blue magma stuff it helps A LOT. I think you found the mana diamonds on your nether expedition. Also, did they remove the silicon recipe from glass to silicon? I remember getting silicon from the stone work factory when processing sand.

you should use the cinnabar in an induction smelter to handle your diamond processing since with the cinnabar as a catalyst, it has a 3.0x multiplier. could potentially get 5 diamonds from one cluster instead of 2 from the enrichment chamber.
