When he was promoting this album, he was onstage with nothing more than an acoustic guitar with a pickup, a harmonica, a few stomp boxes, his voice and a stool to sit on. Every song he played, whether from this album or the dozen or so Catherine Wheel songs he performed sounded like the whole band was there. Every little passing note, riff, hook, sound effect, swirl and woosh that ur used to hearing on their albums was somehow reproduced by him with just those few things. I was blown away.

Do yourself a huge favor and go see Rob when he tours....he is pure magic! Rob seems to have "matured" nicely and his Fresh Wine for the Horses album has some incredible rockin tunes as well as gorgeous ballads. Been a fan for 5 years now and i'll always have a place in my heart for Catherine Wheel!

searcher I love hearing that. I believe I heard he owns some sort of auto shop? Hubby and I have thought about “visiting” lol. My husband introduced me to Catherine Wheel and I was astounded at the level of talent and creativity and yet never main stream. They are our own private concerts on cold MN nights. I’ve been replacing the CD’s and it’s costing me a fortune. 🙃Tell him he has some long time admirers.

searcher I promise we aren’t really stalkers. Very very rarely does a particular artist really get my ear. Not sure what it is about his style and voice but I’ve been hooked since day 1. I had also never been a fan of non mainstream music until I hear him sing. I’m so glad he still picks up a guitar now and then. Tell him not to ever stop. That would truly be a tragedy. I hope your safe and well!!!! Stay that way.

Finally a decent video producer. Old CW videos are heinous. This song would make a good movie song. Quick, someone at Paramount get off your lazy ass! As the video shows, the songs got a great depth of imagery. Makes it easy for an artistic eye to present in an appearling way. Which is why I can't understand wtf went wrong with CW. Is this part of that maturity process bs? Whatever. Anyway, the song is of course awesome and undiscovered. I'm too lazy to do anything with it. ~Santoonie
@santoonie18 жыл бұрын
Well, I adored Ferment and all the old Ferment videos I've come across show off the songs and the band for that matter is subpar mediocrity. I think CW's lack of tremendous success is poor representation. In my opinion someone didn't know how to market CW and Ferment for that matter.

Rob dosn't rock anymore. Not like he did back in the days of CW. A sign of age?
