I don't get why you can't find it anywhere and it has almost no following. It was genius.

Yes, and the only one of their albums not available on streaming services! It's a travesty.

It's so strange that CW left music right when the internet was just starting to gain speed. I remember it well. They had a website and a streamable concert for like one night on the site. Soon after they were gone, like they never happened. I miss those days. Crisp autumn nights in my room with tea literally shivering at these songs, this one in particular. I would nest to these albums. Such a great and highly original band. Heartbreaking music, interesting mix of rock, fusion and punk/hardcore drumming with elements of jazz..varied musicians. There was a real aura about their songwriting and tonality of their instruments that transcended even the most experimental indie artists. Rob's voice, especially when triple tracked with harmonies was enchanting/spellbinding. One of those bands that just hits you over the head and makes you take notice, if you're lucky. You could never mistake Rob's voice for anyone else's.

So true! I stumbled across CW by accident one day at the record store. I would just pick random CDs to listen to in their listening station, and Adam and Eve just happened to be one I picked. I was hooked from that moment forward. This was, of course, before I was aware of their older stuff (even Black Metallic). I wish they had kept on going, but also I am grateful for having had a chance to experience them, if not live.

I saw them live in London late 90s. I totally agree. So underrated.

Oh my God! Thank you for writing your comment with such extreme precision of truth! I've loved them from the get-go and was looking enough to see Rob in his solo album acoustic tour in San Diego. I brought my little analog Holga plastic camera and some portraits of him including a selfie! He's just an incredible human being and the band with the way they play is just beyond description. And to think what Rob is doing now with his Porsche project and Singer vehicles… And whoever he married is one lucky woman!

Catherine Wheel is another one of those bands that the music industry felt they could never make money off of. Real music lovers know otherwise. Catherine Wheel should have conquered MTV and America. Tragic really. "Heal" is an anthem. Wish I was in the music industry.

Desperately missed. This record should have had massive success to match its ambition. For my money, Adam & Eve is a better record than OK Computer - which stole its thunder in 1997. It seemed like there wasn't room for both.

I agree, this had much more real emotions expressed. I'd rather hear about someone's experience trying to deal with emotions, and maybe failing at it than an album of disengagement. "Try, don't die, pull your life together.." - Catherine Wheel (this song)
