Great video; it really helps highlight the importance of preserving and protecting our oceans!

I really enjoyed this video and liked the examples given of extreme weather patterns in Australia. As well, I enjoyed the fun fact about how the filming of Mad Max had to be moved because of the heavy rain. I never realized how extreme the weather can be in Australia, and this video truly highlighted its diversity.

I really enjoyed learning about the different cycles and how they cooperate to change weather patterns in Australia. I think it is important to learn why weather extremes occur and how different factors can effect our weather.

I liked how the Millennium Drought was used as a case study to explain the concepts in the video, as it made the information seem more understandable and more relevant.

I liked the anecdotal format of this video and found that the information was easier to remember in the context of the Millennium Drought.

Weather extremes can sometimes seem like an unknown. This video does a great job of helping to explain extreme weather patterns. As the video explains, droughts and massive waves of wet weather can be driven by oceans.

I really enjoyed the video because it gave examples of extreme weather patterns in Australia back in the earlier 2000's. I thought it was also interesting to include fun anecdotes such as the relocation of the filming of Mad Max due to heavy rain in the outback.

I especially enjoyed the visuals in this video as they did a great job of exemplifying the effects of the Millennium Drought.

I found this lecture super helpful in explaining how differences in weather patterns can be traced back to changes in the ocean atmosphere. It is so interesting to see how these patterns have a huge effect on the weather and climate in Australia !

One of my favorites. Diagrams help to visualize how the IOD, ENSO, and SAM functioned.

I didn't realize how oceans can affect weather so drastically. Super interesting to know and compare to landlocked places.

I really enjoyed this lesson because I feel like I now know a solid base on how ongoing weather is connected to certain ocean events.

I've always been super interested in the weather but hadn't yet learned about how the ocean plays a big part in controlling it. It made me realize that everything is more connected than I knew, and makes me interested to learn about it further. This was a great, accessible intro video!

Wow! Learning about drought is so interesting to me, especially after researching climate change for our group project. Global sea level drop of 5mm is substantial and continues to effect our marine environment. Cool video!

As I have been living in Australia, I've been wondering why the country has been in such extreme drought. This video answered a lot of questions!

This should also serve as a reminder to what can and probably will happen in the future and we should definitely be prepared for it.

I never realized how extreme the weather is in Australia. It was so intriguing to hear how your mom didn't see rain until she was 5, yet the filming of Mad Mex had to be moved because of heavy rain!

It's one of my favorite videos, since I had no idea of the topic and I learned a lot from both the weather and how marine water movements can affect it. I enjoyed all the module explaining each of the ocean climate patterns

Very informative video on weather extremes, specifically in Australia. It was shocking to learn about the worst bushfire season, specially knowing that Australia is currently living its worst one yet. Very interesting to learn how ENSO, IOD, and SAM all influenced these extremes.

I found this lecture interesting because it does a great job at explaining some very complex concepts. It is crazy to think that droughts and massive waves can be driven by oceans.

It is very interesting how these different cycles can affect the weather and create extreme impacts on Australia. I always heard of El Niño but didn't realize it could have the negative impacts it had in addition to IOD and SAM as they have in the past. I can't imagine not seeing rain until I was 5. Hopefully, we can become better prepared when these events coincide together again.

I really enjoyed this video. This directly related to module 2, i believe. How the sea can affect climate change, snow, and rain.

In Puerto Rico, this has definitely been the case as hurricanes are becoming stronger and more frequent year after year.

Very well made video, it taught me a lot about something I never knew before. It will be interesting to see how the rising sea levels and change in ocean and wind patterns due to climate change impacts weather extremes

It is crazy to think that exactly a year after this video was made, eastern Australia was being burned by bush fires. The bushfires scorched half a million acres of land, killed two dozen people and slaughtered an estimated half a billion animals. It is important to remember that this extreme weather is connected to ocean currents and that certain human actions have an effect on such.
