Agreed. I have been studying Japanese and only today came across these amazing worship songs in Japanese. Hearing them gives me hope that so many people in Japan are very open to the Lord. I want to go to Japan on a mission trip sometime within the next few years. It's hard when I'm a third-year high schooler who hasn't even entered college yet XD. I'm hoping to go before my third year of college, even if it's only for a while.

Hi! I liked the music! But wondered why your translation is so different?
@chris_juday9 жыл бұрын
+fernando chaves different from other translations or different from the original? I can't speak to different translations as I haven't heard/read any others. Regarding comparing it to the original, generally speaking to say/write most things in Japanese requires more syllables than in other languages, or in this particular case, English. Read a Japanese Bible side by side with and English one for an example of this. If we were to do an exact translation, there would be so many syllables crammed into the melody the song would be unrecognizable and/or it would become more of a rap style song. The other consideration is what phrases/manners of speech are understandable to the Japanese people. We want what the artists are trying to communicate to be understood. There are many things we say in English that are taken for granted because of a foundation of cultural Christianity in most English speaking countries. Sometimes these don't translate well. These are the two greatest issues we take into consideration when attempting to translate a song. Clarity of lyrical content and melodic integrity. Definitely not saying that what we've put together is the best that can be done, but we spend quite a bit of time trying to stay true to what the original artist was trying to convey. I hope this is helpful, thank you so much for the kind words.

こんにちわ キリスさん Is there anyway you can post the lyrics as a text with the kana and kanji? I'm a worship leader and wanting to get involved in worship at a local Japanese church. I'm wanting to learn to play this translation, but I'm having a hard time looking up the kanji, as I can already read katakana and hiragana, but struggling with the kanji.

what is your recommeded resources for learning Japanese? (Already learned ひらがなとカタカナ) and I am working on Vocabulary and grammar at the moment. Chris Juday well honestly I need guidance from a teacher(I'm self-studying)[Not refering to you] but anyways, I am 15 learning Japanese with no proper scheduling. (the "schedule" for me learning Japanese is a bit odd... 1st day of week. I do kanji... 2nd day grammar.) I have heard many people say, dont learn kanji by themselves (so, I learned some basic radicals. (which didn't really help me) my guess is I am not 'ready' to pursue kanji -yet- the book I'm/was using is called 'A Guide To Remembering Japanese Characters' (By Kenneth G. Henshall) I am christian; but. i need guidance from God... The Lord shows my Mom signs, and speaks to her... But one day a 'friend' of my mom comes to our house and raps (with vulgar words) but, the Lord put desire to my mom to rap; And she never rapped before; and all what she said rhymed and was about the Lord.. this went on for a couple days but after those days, she rapped through the spirit of the lord. I know this because she rapped words that relate to my life and my worries. I was in the bathroom, she 'rapped something like this, "...One day you will go Japan and they will say 'who are you?' then you said, 'My friend sent me' they will ask 'who is this Man?' Then you will say, 'Jesus " I was crying in the bathroom when my mom rapped that, then I knew that God was speaking to me.. (this isn't exactly what she said[it's been awhile]) honestly, you don't have to believe me. This is all sort of confusing to me, The Lord wanting me to learn japanese to preach the gospol.. I just dont have relevent resources. *Anyways, I am really sorry for wasting you time.* ごめんなさい。😥

Posso fazer sugestão de tradução? No trecho "Anata wa watashi no mono" ficaria melhor se fosse "Anatawa watashi no Kami" ou "atawa watashi no Kami", pois em ingles a palavra " mine" fica impl[icito que é "my God" ou "my lord". Já em japones a palavra 'mono" não fica implicito, prejudicando o entendimento.
