I can understand people who don't enjoy this kind of music. I think a lot of metal gives instant gratification, particularly metalcore and deathcore with the overused breakdowns, whereas with Post-Rock you really have to stay focused for a long time to get to an epic section and for said epic section to mean something.

Man, I love these guys, and I used to love metal. I can barely listen to the super-heavy anymore, but I definitely appreciate the work and talent that goes into much of it. I guess my focus shifted from powerful and aggressive structures with moments of wild uncertainty to... Man. Lemme just stop right there and leave it at thanks for being super cool about it.
