Kota running over and saying "I thought I had to be like you!" to Izuku nearly made me cry. Damn that was profound. Kid looking up to essentially another kid. Nice to see Midoriya already has made legitimate large impacts on some peoples lives. All while feeling like he's still far behind and has a lot to learn. Cool the Academia part of the series is still in play.

8:26 to those who didn't realise, that spike head guy is the random man who Izuku met in the very first episode of the show. The one who saw Izuku taking notes on Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady, asking him if he wanted to become a hero and wishing him good luck. It's an insane callback to have him be one of the first civilians to stand up for him

And it was great having him mention that he at first felt like he was in a audience watching a stage play when Hero Society was "stable", especially when All Might was active as a Hero. And that everyone "had forgotten the soul behind the man," something they did with every hero, vigilante, villain, and even their fellow regular citizens.... they forgot they were all human beings. Worse, they forgot we were a part of this, that they could still be involve, that they could, and should help.

But in the dub he doesn't say that i think, he is more of making fun of him cause he a fanboy , the he asks him if he wants to be a hero, in the sub he wishes him good luck cause he notices him writing the notes in the hero notebook, and deku says "thank you!" Instead of the"more than anything" that he says in the dub

@@blackangel4016 That's a bad analogy. Deku isn't just some dude who is asking for help. He is the one hero in all of Japan and possibly the World that All for One fears enough to be actively hunting. Deku is the one Hero who has any chance at defeating an evil that has plagued society ever since the quirks began manifesting. Knowing all that, do you really want your one shot at having your peaceful back again looking like he's about to pass out due to fighting on your behalf as you cower behind a big wall? Or would you rather him fully rested and healed so that when that big bad inevitably comes knocking at the most prestigious hero school in the country, (Because it will certainly be on his hit list to hinder the training of any future annoyances) this hero has the best chance of victory in order to give you back your home and ordinary life? All for One will be coming regardless of whether you let him stay, you don't really have anything left to lose at this point and your life is already on the line. You are at UA after all.

All Might gave Deku the right to fight as a HERO, Uraraka gave Deku the right to rest as a HUMAN. This episode parallels S1 ep 2 with All Might telling Deku he can be a hero and S1 ep 4 with Uraraka offering her points for the entrance exam so that Deku could be accepted at UA. Deku's best girl got him to react like how he did to All Might telling him he could be hero. Only All Might and Uraraka made him react falling to his knees like that, with words to reach the depths of his soul.

I think something that gets lost when watching the anime is the fact that the public NEVER had to deal with something like this. All Might was such a force of nature that no one ever even had to consider what was going wrong in society; recall that crime rates dropped in Japan simply because All Might was there. He created a world where peace was so common place that it started getting taken for granted. Now that he's retired, the horrors and hardships that he was holding back have now fallen onto everyone else in society. The story of my hero can be broken into three parts if you will: the world during All For One's reign, the world during All Might's reign, and the world after All Might's era. During All For One's time, there was no hope, there was no peace, only fear and death for anyone with the potential to become a threat for All For One. All Might came in and defeated All For One and created a boundless era of peace for 40 years, during this time society came to expect peace as something common place that is expected of heroes because All Might's existence itself was a deterrent for criminals. After All Might retired, no one individual could fill those shoes, no one person could be the next All Might. What we're seeing here is all of society learning that they need to work together to surpass All Might. It'll be tough, but that's the next step in this society's progression.
@MisterNive
@MisterNive Жыл бұрын
Yeah 40 years is a long time, I bet most of those people aren't old enough to remember an era without All Might. He was like a living deus ex machina to call in and wipe out the villains in seconds. Contrast that to a lawless Japan, it's utterly unimaginable previously.

This episode was so well done. We get the full flushed out meaning of Ochaco's idea of who saves/helps/rescues heroes when they need it. We get to see how Ochaco has put that into practice throughout the show going back to her saving Deku when he tripped and fell, Deku helping Ochaco when he saved her from the 0 point faux villain, Ochaco saving Midoriya after falling from the blow back of using OFA, and finally when Ochaco tried to give Deku points to help him get into UA. It's so dope that the guy at the center of the crowd advocating for Deku is the same guy from the very first episode that Deku talked about as they watched Kamui Woods and Mt Lady fight the giant villain. The same guy wished Deku luck when he found out he wanted to be a hero. The power of Kota running out of the crowd to embrace Deku reminded me of when Deku ran out to save Ochaco at the UA Exam and when Deku ran out from the crowd to save Bakugo from the slime villain. It made me think Kota's body moved before he had time to think in order to save Deku. A kid who had hated heroes because his parents made the ultimate sacrifice to help/save people was rescued by Deku from Muscular and now here he is running out to save his hero. Also to have the giant heteromorph woman who Deku saved from getting beat up takes you from Deku starting his journey of being told he could be a hero by All Might and inheriting his power to where Deku is humanity's greatest hope to defeat All For One and Shigaraki. I feel like there's more I'm missing but they managed to put that all in 20 minutes and that's crazy. I'm excited to see the Season 6 finale.

There's several translation mistake: 5:28 Uraraka actually called them out here, saying "Heroes are the only one that have been covered in mud", bascially telling them heroes are the only who's been giving their lives so far, so they should at least let them rest 8:02 Kota actually used All Might/Deku's line here, he said "I am here" and also "It's fine now" with a smile, because in the same sentance he said he wants to be like Deku

When one of the civilians said “you screwed up” that’s because the last war was initiated by the heroes this time, not the villains. The civilians were not really aware of the whole scheme of the liberation army to attack the whole society, so for them it’s the heroes who started something they couldn’t manage and screwed up the entire country this time. It’s like saying to them if you didn’t initiate this whole thing, nothing would have happened.

To add on to the argument of welcoming or not welcoming Deku, All for one, Shigaraki and gang can all still attack UA without Deku being there. They would actually probably use that as a battle strategy since Deku fights so hard for other people. It would be a spirit breaker. And Deku would be late to the fight and unable to prevent any further damage.

@@blackangel4016 No, but picture a military squad or political leaders heading towards a city for medical attention or something, while an enemy threatened to attack them or drop a nuke on them. There are some differences to the situation, yes. But that's a similar vibe. "Don't let them come here, they'll only bring us trouble". When it's the enemy to blame, and caving in to their pressure is what will REALLY bring the trouble. It's just fear talking, but it's still understandable. The core of Uraraka's speech extends to a societal level regarding the *humanization* of heroes (through Deku as an example). Heroes are still humans and society idolized the era with All Might too much. The heroes are on the frontlines to do the work, but could use the support of the people too, to be active as well in some way, even if small. This is a lesson that could be considered in real life, supporting the fellow service workers (police, military, healthcare worker, etc) working on the frontlines for you... that you can be their hero too.

I know its hard but since being a hero in this anime is like a real job, if you lose or you fail is also your responsability. They are right being mad cause in the real world happens the same way. They cannot fight cause there are others whose jobs are fighting for them or protecting them, with the police and the army is the same thing. If they fail to protect them, they are not doing their job right (I know this isnt the case and sometimes things just doesnt go they way they are planned to). Stop revolving her world around being deku's possible "wife" it's been proven over and over again that she's always the one saving midoriya

Just realized that the guy that was talking about giving deku a chance was the one in s1 ep1 telling him he can and hope's he becomes a hero

The civilians needed someone easy to put ALL the blame on for how things were after the war, so they blamed All Might, Hawks, Best Jeanist, Endeavor and whole Todoroki family, as well as ALL the Heroes and Hero Students. And now this crowd were trying to put a lot of the blame on Deku. And they even twisted Best Jeanist's word around, and tried (and failed) to do the same to Ochaco: Acting like they were putting all the blame and burden on them (the very thing THEY WERE DOING)!! And Endeavor, Shoto and Hawks were outside the Barrier, as they were worried the already angry crowd would riot if they see them, believing it would make things worse for Deku. Its one of reasons All Might stayed outside too (somewhere else though). Even in the manga, the other Todoroki's were there, but somewhere else for the same reason.

Exactly, the civilians were just scapegoating. They don't really have to think about anything else once they find a scapegoat to unload all of their frustrations on.

Fun fact. The guy with the stars on his head is actually the guy deku first talked to during the first episode

One thing people forget that crying is what makes humans humans....If you don't cry, then sorry to say you are just another mortal MONSTER in this world. Therefore, express yourself and cry when you really get emotional, it's okay to cry ❤❤ Moreover, that line, let this place continues to be his hero academia is ❤❣️🔥🔥

For someone that missed it, the star-shaped old man that did the fame and money talk appeared at the first episode season 1 right after Kamui jump out to fight the first giant villain.

3:37 deku made that face and that reaction because he felt betrayed from the people Because he was out there, fighting to get their lives back and they said such mean stuff without knowing what deku did for them So that was a really hard moment for deku

people keep bringing up the whole "fend for yourself" thing, but don't understand that doing so has literally been illegal to do, simply because you need a hero license to do such, that was ReDestro's whole deal before he met Shigi, although the anime did cut a lot of his stuff out of last season so I get why people wouldn't really know that

If we remember what stain stood for. He saw all might as the only true hero, he was trying to eliminate the "false heroes." I haven't read the manga, but I don't think Stain is going to attack all might, more like a fan type of thing for stain.

Yeah civilians dont know how his power works, and how important it is. AFO can literally take any power in just one touch, you like it or not. But not OFA, it needs consent of the holder to transfer unless his will doesnt waver. Its literally AFO nemesis.

Hi! Can you please react to Natsume's Book of Friends? It's a chill, wholesome and emotional anime. It's about a boy who inherited his grandma's Book of Friends (which contains the names of the Youkais his grandma defeated) and Youkais wanting to get their names back. It has 6 seasons and like a seperate episode, each season has only 13 episodes. It's a nice anime to watch, to like chill after those intense animes. This anime is so worth it! I RECOMMEND IT 1000%
