It was nice seeing the people Deku has interacted with over the course of the story, even that random man from the first episode. He had little contact with him and likely doesn't remember him, but he still stood up for him and made a compelling argument.

I don’t know if you noticed, but the man who stood up in the crowd talking about All Might is from the very first episode when he saw izuku taking notes in the crowd, and his appearance made me so emotional because he’s never been seen since the first episode, but it kills me because he was Izuku’s very first supporter I’m his dream to be a hero, even back when he was quirkless 🥲🥲🥲

I liked how the anime had the star guy and Midoriya talking back in the first episode in the ED. That way it reminds anime watchers who he is when he comes back here. When I read this chapter in the manga that went over my head until I saw a comment mention he was from the first episode/chapter. Good on the anime for reminding all of us.

I noticed about Uraraka, Deku carries all the burden of everyone on his shoulders, but Uraraka is the one who keeps saving Deku's ass the moment he can't fight anymore and this moment right there is the best example. Deku trips on the day they met and Uraraka saved him, on that same day, when Deku broke his limbs just to punch the robot it's Uraraka who saved Deku from falling, We also have that Uraraka is the one to wrap part of her clothes to Deku's injured when trying to save bakugo, and When Dark whip is on the rampage. She's the hero that saved the best hero

Best Jeanist tried to use logic and assure the heroes were still making the right choice to the crowd and failed. Their fears had gone out of control for that to have worked. Uravity made an emotional appeal and forced the crowd to look at the person they were shunning. She wanted them to remember heroes are humans too and need help. It was a reality check. She doesn’t try to present heroes are bigger than life figures who can do it all. Making the people realize they need to step up and help. That is good because if someone had helped Tenko when he was alone he probably wouldn’t have turned into Tomura Shigaraki.

Uraraka was the ONLY one that could’ve saved Izuku from what he was going through. MAYBE Iida. NOT Bakugo. To finally let the poor boy be a human being and unburden him from his god conflict he’s doomed to battle in at LEAST for a time. He needed this SO bad. Also Nezu ABSOLUTELY terrifying me. He’s my top suspect of being a villain on the side. EVERYTHING this character does has some SERIOUSLY messy undertones and I’m worried he’s among the bigger threats to the kids. Seasons 1-6 all the way through he’s been raising my eyebrows between the traitor story, and many other aspects. He’s the ONLY person in the FULL know of OFA that has made no contribution to assist All-Might and ESPECIALLY Izuku with teaching All-Might HOW to be a teacher or just giving Izuku ANY advice. And this whole UA barrier has me SUPER uneasy. (And his inner monologues take different tones if you look it from the perspective he’s a villain. Like the dorms plan. Everyone’s uneasy. And need to rest. EVERYONE MOVE OUT OF YOUR PARENT’S HOUSE IN HIGH SCHOOL! TOTALLY NOT STRESSFUL!)

You're wrong on Not Bakugo, completely. It was bakugo who got him to finally give in and accept going in the first place. No one else. Iida got to him and got him to slow down and listen, but he still said to himself, "I have to shake him off fast" literally only because he was out of strength did he not keep trying to run from them. ONLY BAKUGO talking did he finally give in and go willingly to UA. Bakugo saved him. They only got to that point because of the culmination of everyone's powers and efforts, everyone from Class 1-A saved him too. Then now, when they get to the school and the mob shakes Deku again and causes him to want to leave again, Ururaka's speech saved him there. You can't put this on one person or deny another person's help. It really seems like you have a bias against Bakugo from all your comments, but you can't lie and say he wasn't a lead in saving him.

@@AmaneKoruba do you know why I don’t accept Bakugo’s role in this rescue outside finding him? It’s because I know a few things. I know what it’s like to be in Izuku’s position practically verbatim emotionally. I know what it’s like to be in the EXACT headspace and what it’s like. The kids were trying to shake him from his headspace to save him. That’s what this entire arc is about. And none of them succeeded. Deku didn’t submit at ANY point last episode and almost walked right back out during this one. (Including when he collapsed.) Deku while getting LITERALLY carried away kept saying he can’t go back. The submission you speak of is disregarding the ENTIRE reason they had to shake his emotional state. Which propelled abuse from himself of his own physical and mental health. It’s a terrifying state Empaths reach when they completely exhaust their ability that leads to complete and total emotional dysfunction. I’m in no way devaluing the EFFORT but the result didn’t have the impact they desired. NONE of them had the desired effect. My point is Iida COULD have been in the position to have the desired outcome if he tried from a different angle that he did NOT try. No one else was in a position to shake him out but Uraraka. And that includes Bakugo regardless how heartfelt that apology was. There was never a position the other 18 COULD have taken to shake him out of his state. It’s why one of my important points from last episode I ordinarily say is BOTH parties are correct and regardless of how well meaning it might be, Deku has EVERY reason to not want to crack to any of their resolves to get him back. (which may not be in said comment for copy paste reasons being nonsense.) Deku is in a truly exhausted state and yet he’s outpacing 19 of his classmates with coordinated efforts to contain him with ease. I’m not biased against Bakugo. But I know how long a road it is for the arc he’s on while everyone says he’s won for some reason. The path from a dedicated bully/victim dynamic to friends is longer than any anime has dared shown. And people just throw it off as done because of Goku/Vegeta and Naruto/Sasuke. And those don’t in the SLIGHTEST match up because of what kind of person DEKU is. Not Bakugo. People think this is endgame for Bakugo’s arc because he’s at the point Sasuke or Vegeta would be for truly accepting Goku or Naruto. BUT people actively ignore the other side of that. The only reason THOSE arcs work the way they do is because Naruto and Goku are the way they are. And they are NOT like Deku. Nor were they in the position of Deku much less NEAR it. I’m not projecting what I went through for Deku. The moment he was saved wasn’t when he fell asleep but when Uraraka got him crying for seeing through all his pressures everyone was trying to interpret while he has done NOTHING but get locked in with his pressures.

jeanist always said that moments are threads that pile up to create a solid future. This event was exactly the result of little actions piling up to ultimately stop deku on his path of self-destruction. Class 1A decided to interfere, their messages chipped him bit by bit, Iida reaching for his hand and Bakugo's apology were the biggest factors in trying to let his guard down to at least let him comply with their wishes to go back to UA. Ultimately, this led to uraraka's speech having this massive effect with deku that triggered kota and ippan josei (heteromorph) to come to the frontlines and show their support with deku. This show focuses a lot on big payoffs. Deku saving kota and ippan josei ultimately was also the last straw for the citizens to open their hearts and let deku back into ua, this is why I love this fucking show so much

Both VA's did well, the english and the japanese, both just bring out the emotion in that speech. I think the Japanese version is slightly better, because the voice has that screechy rasp you may get from yelling a lot when you get emotional, but again, no hate for the english one, she did wonderfully in this speech as well, always brings me tears.
